- Comment on Mozilla under fire for Firefox AI "bloat" that blows up CPU and drains battery 2 weeks ago:
Forks get security patches with delay so I prefer to use vanilla Firefox and just disable the things I don’t like, it’s not much work.
- Comment on Mozilla under fire for Firefox AI "bloat" that blows up CPU and drains battery 2 weeks ago:
That sums it up pretty nicely.
- Comment on Mozilla under fire for Firefox AI "bloat" that blows up CPU and drains battery 2 weeks ago:

Because people seem to have a special hat boner for Firefox on here.
And please don’t call me bro.

It was not enabled by default for me.
- Comment on Mozilla under fire for Firefox AI "bloat" that blows up CPU and drains battery 2 weeks ago:
Do you have to enable the feature first? Because I’m on v141 and I don’t see this feature. Complaining about a useless and draining feature that you yourself enabled is a special kind of stupid tbh.

The article says for other age groups it dropped single digit percent points, so yeah it is mostly Gen Z in this case.

I do partially agree with his buttons and app-points. I dislike how we are forced to download apps for everything, including the questionable tracking software.
I also agree with this.

Calling the grey big bezels of old TVs stylish is certainly an opinion.

For me just using Firefox on Linux seems to be enough to trigger them.
- Comment on Apple to Australians: You’re Too Stupid to Choose Your Own Apps 2 months ago:
I was talking about the point you made in your first paragraph. Where businesses would suddenly start providing their apps only in third party stores.

If this were to happen it would have happened on Android a long time ago but it didn’t.

In the case of glass bottles don’t forget that they can be reused instead of recycled. Which reduces the amount of energy you use for them.

To my knowledge wireless charging is harder on the battery because of the heat it produces.

What did you actually gain here? With my Pixel 7 it looks almost the same with 3.1% capacity loss per year without taking any special care of my battery. Is my phone an outlier or does it just not matter? And I almost exclusively charge with wireless.
- Comment on Why do we even do mens vs womens sizes for clothes? 5 months ago:
Tell me about it. It’s an exercise in frustration to find good fitting clothes as a trans woman because most clothes don’t come with a sizing table and if they do the skip the most important measurement for me: shoulders.
