Trying to fix something at night, with a fuming partner who’s already put up with a difficult to use service, because of your want for privacy even though they don’t care care, whilst saying “it should work, I don’t know what’s wrong”, is not a great place to be
I feel those words

Im sorry for you. That really sucks.

So many publications are not worth reading.
Im all in for a revolution of science.
No more bullshitting. No “800 words” required.
If youre able to explain something in 5 sentences and put a table and plot with the results. Do it. No need to elaborate in 5 pages how fucked up your ability is to use thesaurus for synonyms.

You ever took a look an desert settlements?
There are so many awesome things to see there, and thinking of all the little humans doing their shit there is mesmerizing.
Kind of Sim city/sims in real life

The edge to overoptimize yourself is very close and thats even more a hassle when hobbies become hustles and the brain doesnt distinguish anymore between work and hobby and freetime and me time.
Its a spiral which can lead fast to burnout or other related stuff.
Kudos to you that you made it this far and successfull in a challenging field.

Jokes aside.
It really is exhausting to always seek for knowledge.
I think everybody needs a little bit of silence in his head once in a while.

Also I am very much impressed how much content this small number of users can generate.

Same with reddit. Almost everyone has throwaway accounts there.

Thats exactly the reason why I become a doomer.
Its always like that in life.
You do and you learn until you become confident in your abilities (thats anyway whisful thinking related to climate crisis awareness) and then life comes and bitchslaps you in the face.
I mean, we are not even halfway on track and the only certainty we have is that we know nothing.
Not even what we dont know.
And thats what really grinds my gears. We are literally driving blindfolded against a wall. And capitalism is in adittion keeping our eyes shut (just in case) and pushing the gaspedal.

- Comment on How do you manage code snippets? 11 months ago:
Ok.right in the feels.
To be honest, I try to search before on stackoverflow most of the time, due to the ability to write a few keywords and get a suitable answer versus formulate a prompt for the LLM.
But on the other side, llms are used for so much bullshit and invaluable prompts that my questions for helping me in my job has a more worthwile argument.
But of course it is a problematic topic related to llms.
