- Comment on Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week? 2 weeks ago:
Playing shadows of doubt - a completely procedurally generated private investigator game. It’s basically a puzzle game without consistent solutions. Pretty fun so far.

It would definitely be nice if it was a lot deeper, but it has enough good points to entertain many people for a while.

Also it was that fact that he stopped in the middle of whatever crisis or serious event to fly somewhere and play golf and take a day off. Them do it again a few days later while the crisis is looming. Like flying to Cancun in a state blackout, but people don’t care.

Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for. I guess you can say he is consistent. I’m glad he didn’t let anything affect his golf. I wonder if his scores improved.

- Comment on What open-world games on Steam have satisfying movement, like Arkham Knight or Spider-Man? 3 weeks ago:
Tchia - it is a relaxing game, but I enjoyed it when I needed a break from intense games or intense life.
You can sail a boat, swim, glide, slide down hills, flip through the air AND transform into object and animals. When you are an object you can hop and throw yourself. When you are an animal you can do whatever they do, fly swim, run, see in the dark, poop on people, break coconuts, and more.

Lookup body weight fitness. There is a Reddit sub and I think also a lemmy community. The body you build from that also is more lean. It can be very modifiable and doesn’t require much fitness.
- Comment on Minecraft is getting a visual overhaul you probably don't need because of all of those mods you've got installed 5 weeks ago:
Minecraft is the best-selling game of all time, but it’s looked pretty much the same for the entirety of its almost 14 year run
Usually games don’t change how they look no matter how long they’ve been out.
- Comment on Parents turn to smartwatches for their children amid global phone screen-time pushback 5 weeks ago:
I think the not losing it and easy to carry thing is the key point. If they have to at least keep it in a backpack pocket fine, but if it has any whiff of something distracting to do on it, many kids will get distracted.
Mine have not hit that age yet so I still have time to form my opinions and be informed. As someone who likes small compact things I can’t lose, a watch sounds ideal.

The printer has the same ink problems, clogged, runs out easy, can’t print b&w when missing a color. But I can buy random ink.

Same. I find ebooks for my family or we use Libby. I wouldn’t know how to buy a book on my kindle if I wanted to.

Do the non-kindle e-readers link to Libby? I may eventually try to get my wife and I off our kindles and she uses that when she can.

You can also get ebooks from the library
