The printer has the same ink problems, clogged, runs out easy, can’t print b&w when missing a color. But I can buy random ink.

Same. I find ebooks for my family or we use Libby. I wouldn’t know how to buy a book on my kindle if I wanted to.

I made a small planter and I sprayed it with some sort of clear sealant for extra measure and it has never leaked.
For you, under pressure might leak after a little while, but you could put some sort of sealant on it to have more faith in it. It depends how long you want it under water, but it should be at least a little water-proof by itself.

I’ve made Car seat button pressers and chapstick holders for my car that gets plenty hot and have never had any problems with PLA. They are thicker prints so you might have problems with thinner prints or if you live in a hot climate. I live in a fairly hot in the summer and cold in the winter climate.
