And if you get hacked?.. you blockchain fanatics always forget that it’s a ledger, not a database.
If i were about to hack your account and transfer everything to my account, there is nothing anyone could do about that. Steam admins couldn’t reverse the transaction because everything is stored in a ledger, not a database.
Your stuff would be gone for good.

No offense to our brothers and sisters in the fediverse, but kbin.social surely has a lot of spam coming out… it’s a very popular instance and that attracts a lot of dickheads.

Admin of lemmy.dbzer0.com here and yeah i can confirm it’s from instances with open registration. Also most of them are smaller instances that aren’t that well maintained and will probably feel the consequence by being blocked by other instances…
And kbin.social 🤦

i believe it’s already implemented in the latest version but it was presented in the 0.21 dev version where you could start to draw a rectangle and had the boxes to contrain their lenghts automatically pop up while drawing the rectangle for example

Yeah according to the other comments i’ll go with immich as the main photo storage and just sync them over to nextcloud via external storage connection.
Thanks!

oh you meant i should just adb from my phone onto my phone right?
Yeah no thanks, i like to use a real keyboard, big screen and the ability to copy paste super easily^^
That’s nothing i’d like to do on my phone.
- Comment on Everything about Google Partner Setup 4 months ago:
because i have to establish a connection to the IP of my phone first before being able to do adb shell
and i want that to be one single command. I made the adbwifi alias that connects to the ip and immediately does adb shell afterwards.

Everything i really need works flawless under wayland and i don’t need UAD.
So no loss for me. And i am sure i could make it work by playing around with ENV vars and exporting the right one. But i don’t want to waste my time on that because i will not use UAD anyway soooo
- Comment on Everything about Google Partner Setup 4 months ago:
yup, i have a bash alias that connects wireless first and then goes adb shell
- Comment on Everything about Google Partner Setup 4 months ago:
UAD doesn’t work with wayland atm afaik.
That’s why i went with the manual route.

if you’re in the adb shell you can do
pm list packages
to get a list of every installed app. Because you have to input the complete name of the package to uninstall it. There you will get all of them.If you open the Google Play Store website and search for an app you will also find the full package name in the URL
- Comment on Everything about Google Partner Setup 4 months ago:
I am not 100% if this works with every brand.
You can test this, what i posted here cannot destroy your system. If something fails, it just doesn’t uninstall the app. Other than that there are no destructive commands i posted here.

Even better:
- Click 8 times on your Build Version in the Info tab of your settings to enable developer mode
- Enable USB Debugging in the developer options
- Install Android SDK on your PC
- Connect phone via USB and click trust this PC
- open terminal
- adb shell
- pm uninstall --user 0 com.google.android.partnersetup
Boom, completely uninstalled.
While you’re at it, you can go ahead and uninstall all the other bloat shit you don’t want; Facebook services, Microsoft shit and other google stuff you don’t want.

imho this isn’t really up to the task of complex CAD. But it’s good enough for very simple things i suppose.

This is nothing you have to see personally like this but it’s pretty much the definition. Blender is not CAD. End of story.

Getting fusion360 running on linux is 10 seconds of google. It works perfectly fine and i use it for without any hiccups.
Method 1: Get Bottles and use the provided installer inside that. Method 2: Use this script

Oh my that 4060Ti will reduce the response time to the bare minimum that whisper is capable of i am sure!
You don’t have to customize the docker-compose at all. That’s the plug’n’play part. You have to make sure to build the docker image so it uses the makefile and the run.sh file.
Also make sure your docker environment is able to use the 4060Ti.
Easiest way is to run
docker run -it --rm --gpus all ubuntu nvidia-smi
and see if you get a proper nvidia-smi - Comment on What are the differences between conversation, intents, intent_script, and responses? 7 months ago:
First of all: It increases performance tremendously. For comparison
- RPI4B
- tiny-int8 – WER 40% – Processing time ~5s
- base-int8 – WER 70% – Processing Time ~10s
- medium-int8 – Impossible
- HP EliteDesk 800 G5
- tiny-int8 – Irrelevant
- base-int8 WER 70% – Processing time ~2s
- medium-int8 WER 95% – Processing time ~ 8s
- External Server with GTX1660
- medium-int8 WER 95% – Processing time ~0.5s So running it on a cheap 100€ used GPU can get you results where Alexa, Siri and Google have to respect you in terms of accuracy and speed. This is a gamechanger for me. I already installed 3 M5Stack ATOM ECHOs in my Home and more will soon come in. It’s incredibly accurate and quick.
Now, to get it running it’s actually pretty easy. First go to this link and download all the files. You have to build a custom docker image with those files. I have no idea how to do that with barebones docker as i am using portainer for everything. In Portainer you have to do:
- “Images” in the navigation menu
- "+ Build new image" on the right hand of the header of your images list
- name it wyoming-whisper
- Copy and paste the content of “Dockerfile” you downloaded earlier into the "Web Editor"
- Under “Upload” you click on “Select Files” and select the Makefile and run.sh
- Click on “Build the image”
Next you go
- "Stacks" in your Navigation menu
- "+ Add stack" at the right side
- Give it a name (whisper e.g.)
- Copy the content of docker-compose.example.yml from the files you downloaded earlier.
That will spin up a docker-compose with the local custom image you just built, running faster-whisper that is compatible with the wyoming protocol in home assistant and that can run on an NVidia GPU with cuda acceleration.
As you can see in the docker-compose it will expose port 10300. Next:
- go into Home Assistant
- open Integrations
- click on Wyoming
- add a device
- input the IP of your external GPU server and the port 10300
It will automagically know that it’s whisper and will be fully integrated into your system. You can now add it into your voice assistant.
If you look at the logs of your new docker container you can see every voice command that is sent to your new whisper.
