feddit.de is in this error state since quite a while now (over a month). The web interface does not work anymore, but connecting through an app still works (I use voyager for example). Most people have migrated away from feddit.de to feddit.org. I will do the same at some point, I just didn’t have the time yet.
- Comment on Github advplyr/audiobookshelf v2.11.0 4 months ago:
Are you using the web player or the iOS app? There is the official ABS app or Plappa as a third party app.
- Comment on Horrible underextrusion 4 months ago:
Start with more basic troubleshooting:
Mark out 100mm length on the filament, tell the printer to extrude 100mm and see if it did. If not, remove the hotend and try again. If it did now, you have a problem with your hotend.
If it worked both times, your slicer might be setup wrong.
- Comment on Fan & thermostat for cabinet cooling 4 months ago:
There are case fans with a temperature sensor. They already control the speed themselves depending on the measurement. The only thing they need is 12V.
For example the Arctic F12 TC.

I always liked the idea of the small Lenovo ThinkEdge Servers, I just never had a usecase. Maybe these would work for you.
- Comment on Fork of HomeBox released (v0.11.0) 5 months ago:
Thanks for the heads-up. I am running homebox on my system and didn’t know that it was archived.

I have the gen 10 plus (with an upgraded cpu). I am very happy with that.
- Comment on First level printing too tall 6 months ago:
Look at the gcode (with some viewer, like the one from pursaslicer), it will tell you how thick the first layer in your sliced file is. Maybe it is somehow very thick.
It might not be a hardware issue.

How do you know that you have too much ram? Have you set up a monitoring solution like influxDB to track ram usage over time?
- Comment on Has anyone checked out this ipv6rs service yet? 6 months ago:
Doesn’t a DNS provider do that?

That the developers have more time to develop it.

For example unraid (does that count as a district?) has it enabled by default

Look on eBay, there are oftentimes some from server farm providers like hetzner

What do you mean with fixed? Did you replace the rail?

Does your x-axis have any play at all? Try to pull forward/backward on your (cold!!) nozzle lightly and see if it moves, it should not.

Are you sure you are looking at the right things to improve? Did you check all the screws on the gantry and toolhead? Is your tap (if you use it) solid?
- Comment on Would it be possible to run Pi-hole, Octoprint and Home Assistant on the same RPi 3 mod. B? 8 months ago:
This right here.
Octoprint (or any other 3d printer controller for that matter) should not run on a device which is doing unpredictable stuff at the same time.
- Comment on Any docker solution to control smart light bulb? 8 months ago:
If you (and the people who want to use these things) are on iOS, you could consider Homebridge
It is easier than a full home assistant install, and may be sufficient for what you want to do.
Home assistant might be overkill for your application (but it can do a lot more stuff)
- Comment on Any docker solution to control smart light bulb? 8 months ago:
I am running home assistant as a docker. I also run >10 other docker containers on the same server. It works fine. There are minor issues (like the „add to my home assistant“ button on the website does not work) but it is far from what you are saying.
- Comment on Any recommendations for refillable PLA filament? 8 months ago:
Would be even nicer if they would follow the standard size instead of being 2 mm off in each dimension compared to the nearest “standard”
- Comment on Any recommendations for refillable PLA filament? 8 months ago:
I use this spool: www.printables.com/model/129989
In the description they list several suppliers for refill spools. Personally I am using “DasFilament” and Recyclingfabrik. Both are from Germany so they will probably not be of much help for you.

Maybe start regulating normal guns more first… 3D printed guns are not a problem anywhere in the world.
- Comment on What are your favorite tools for monitoring Linux and individual docker containers? 9 months ago:
How about Telegraf -> influxDB -> Grafana?
For monitoring from my phone (iOS) I use ServerCat which I really like. It can show the status of multiple servers at a glance and provides detailed information and a SSH terminal if needed.
- Comment on Rant: Cura did the one thing a slicer shouldn't do 9 months ago:
FWIW, prusaslicer can also upload and print. The setting to enable it is a bit hidden though… (it’s in printer settings)
- Comment on Anyone wanna help me do an autopsy? 9 months ago:
+1 for higher chamber temperatures. You want something like 50°C in the build chamber for ABS prints.
- Comment on Anyone wanna help me do an autopsy? 9 months ago:
Yes, octoprint has support fornchsmber temperature sensors. But the Question is, does you printer and firmware support it?
(Klipper might be a great upgrade for another day)
- Comment on When Pi-hole is down? 9 months ago:
Yes exactly.
- Comment on When Pi-hole is down? 9 months ago:
If what you said was true, my secondary Pi-hole wouldn’t have to respond to any queries. It it in fact gets quite a lot of them. As the other poster has said, it is about 80/20 for 1st and 2nd pihole. Sometimes the ratios are different, depending on the time of day (don’t ask me why….).
