All I want is Nextcloud Files and Calendar in one place. If there’s something that can do that more performant and with a similarly nice gui i’d be all over it

Thanks. I’ll fix that
- Comment on Apple’s App Store breaches EU’s Digital Markets Act 4 months ago:
fact, I hope that they get imposed the maximum penalty multiple times
Max penalty would be breaking up Apple. It’s even defined in the law. First comes 10% of revenue, then 20,then dissolvement (don’t know the English term, in German it’s Zerschlagung)

Quality Assassins, what did you think it stood for?
- Comment on What Calendar and To Do solution do you recommend? 6 months ago:
You can just spin up the Docker and disable most of the features you don’t need, as they come as addons

Is that remotely feasible on a homelab? What kind of bandwidth/storage would you need to run this thing and keep it up to date?

Could you maybe add support to MOVE files in the integrated file manager? The context menu only offers copy and paste, no cut and when I drag it between two windows it does a copy as well. I couldn’t find a modifier key to move files either.
Would love to use this for my media server

And what happens when you do speak up is in plain view all over the media currently. Google is done for, there is no way they will return to how they were before Pichai and his cronies

- Comment on One of those permanent temporary fixes. 8 months ago:
Maybe add some lubricant? Something like chain grease for bikes should work fine and keep the wood from eroding. Just check how it interacts with plastic or it might eat your mount point instead :D
- Comment on One of those permanent temporary fixes. 8 months ago:
Looks great. The only update I could see is bearings around the wood to reduce friction. Otherwise great work!
- Comment on Owners of a domain, which domain registrar did you choose and why? 8 months ago:
Contabo, since I also rented a VPS with them at the time. Really great service, complete dns control. Can only recommend

Contabo is German based and I’ve been using them for years.

I like to get it out to check something we’re talking about, like “I would like to see X live again” -> “maybe there’s a concert soon?” but otherwise it stays in my pocket

I don’t even know if it’s still an official motto.
It’s not

And I’m sure that fine was as high or higher than the profit they made from the data… what, it wasn’t?!
- Comment on Should Caddy and Traefik Replace Certbot? 8 months ago:
Traefik is a godsent. Just build your services with compose, add a few labels and most services work directly. If a service needs additional headers or whatever, that’s just more labels but traefik takes care of it all. Especially the certificate function makes the whole deal so much more comfortable

I’m pretty sure the author agrees with you. Not every dividend is monetary. He’s talking about the long lasting effects to security and how that will “pay out” in the years that follow
