Are you writing like this to set yourself apart from AI/LLMs?
- Comment on ‘Hell on Earth’: famine nears in northern Gaza despite Israeli aid pledges 7 months ago:
Israel did not offer a ceasefire. It makes no sense for them to do so as their goal is not to defend themselves, but to exterminate the Palestinian people.

Because without it, the DOJ would have no control over you, duh
- Comment on are people still all riled up about beehaw? 9 months ago:
I think the “dick move” adequately explains people's negative reaction
- Comment on FCC to declare AI-generated voices in robocalls illegal under existing law 9 months ago:
I assume that banning all robocalls requires new legislation, whereas the regulation mentioned here didn't.
- Comment on How does ripping a CD/DVD work exactly? Is it similar to copying or does it leave the CD/DVD unusable? 9 months ago:
It can still easily take hours if it's a whole movie you're copying and you're transcoding it into a more space-efficient codec.
- Comment on Is it okay to wash hands with body soap? 10 months ago:
I was actually kind of confused at first about the liquid and bar soap thing. I've used bar soap to wash my hands all my life, and for nothing else. To wash the whole body during a shower, I use liquid soap (called shower gel) and I would find bar soap unwieldy. Moral of the story: your insistence on using one vs the other is entirely cultural.
Fun fact: even washing-up liquid (dish soap) can be used to wash your hands in a pinch.
- Comment on What are some of the best mini-games youve played? (games inside games) 10 months ago:
As a fan of the LucasArts point-and-click adventure games of the 80s-90s, it would be remiss of me not to mention that Day of the Tentacle, the sequel to Maniac Mansion (their first adventure game ever), actually contains Maniac Mansion as a minigame.
- Comment on What are some of the best mini-games youve played? (games inside games) 10 months ago:
If you accept modules in Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes as “minigames” then I could name several hundreds that I enjoyed when I was still active in that game. Many of them are “soloable”, meaning, do not require another player with a manual. Several fans of the game, myself included, would sometimes load up a bomb containing only soloable modules and just play on their own.
- Comment on What is an average person living in the US supposed to do about corporations raising prices? 10 months ago:
Because you'll be investing in, and therefore helping that company. Only a small fraction of the company's profit is going to reach you. You'll be part of the problem with capitalism.
- Comment on Do you feel, as I do, that this adblocker ban by Youtube will harm all of Alphabet's companies? [discussion] 1 year ago:
YouTube should just be government-run. No ads. Content creators can make money from sponsorships and Patreon. Which, incidentally, should also be government-run. And Twitter. These modern technologies should simply be public goods.
- Comment on Make sure not to underestimate the brilliance of 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' as it proves to be an exceptional movie! 1 year ago:
High-profile awards like the Oscars are not given for excellence. They are just an advertisement for a movie that the producers can buy. It says nothing about the movie other than that it was made by a big and rich studio.

I recently finished Storyteller. It's a short game and you can finish it in a day, but boy does it look gorgeous and boy does it keep your noggin activated.
