“As a happily married man I’m got so triggered by an internet meme that I started ranting to strangers about divorcing my wife.”
Healthy and normal…

Those look like yellow villagio marzano tomatoes. Big fan of the elongated varieties because you can slice them longways and fit more on a pan than round ones.

Free stuff gets you in the door where you’ll be likely to spend money on other stuff.
Building ‘points’ or whatever to get free stuff gives you an incentive to buy things from Kroger you might get elsewhere. Ton of benefits to ‘gamification’ of damn near anything.
And giving free stuff creates a positive experience attributed to Kroger so they’ll be more likely to think positively about Kroger in the future.
Plus all that if they have your email\address they can send you more coupons or whatever to get you back in the door. And a more sophisticated system may track your spending to more effectively influence you though the first three points. But those points are pretty classic ‘customer loyalty’ from before big data was even a thing.

Veganism is like religion. As long as you keep it to yourself I couldn’t care less. But if you make it your personality or proselytize about it then I’ll probably think it’s fun to make fun of your whole thing.
- Comment on If life gives you a gator, should you make Gatorade? 6 months ago:
You can just name it Gatorade and you kinda made Gatorade when life gave you a gator.
- Comment on How much do people still follow media reviews today? 6 months ago:
Every time I recommend a show to my coworker he immediately looks it up on rotten tomatoes. It’s kind of funny because he doesn’t trust scores that are too high or too low.

Yeah, fine them all! That’ll teach those homeless people to be poor!
- Comment on Why do Americans measure everything in cups? 7 months ago:
Because it’s quick and the tools to measure volume are cheap and simple and for cooking for a few people in a home kitchen it works well enough.

This style?
I’m a Xennial and besides Kip Dynamite it reminds me of dudes that make really detailed model airplanes but idk about the child predator thing.
- Comment on What would happen if all of humanity don't need to work any more ? 8 months ago:
Even with biological needs satisfied human society creates social\cultural ‘needs’ that people will fight\work just as hard to acquire or maintain. ‘Keeping up with the Jones’ can create demand for literally anything. Unless we each get a genie that grants our every wish, we’ll find something to compete over and markets will develop around those.
- Comment on What would happen if all of humanity don't need to work any more ? 8 months ago:
Someone would start to make or do something for fun. Someone else would see it and want one. A market is born. They try bartering for a while, that gets too complicated, then someone remembers money worked pretty well for exchanging goods and services.

They’re both silly, yours just seemed more so because you followed up on a silly generalization with another silly generalization.
- Comment on Carrying a lot of stuff and being super busy does not make you more important than others. 1 year ago:
Lot of assumptions in that silly generalization.

No one would make that statement, but some sure as hell act like it when they’re ‘super busy or carrying a lot of stuff’.
- Comment on Which is better OMV or TrueNAS? 1 year ago:
For me just the convenience of having everything in one box. Simplifies networking too. I run home assistant, openwrt, OMV, an ubuntu dtop VM and a wordpress LXC on a little m93 I jacked up with 32Gb RAM. Backups are dead simple and it’s all on one little UPS.
Some might prefer metal for other reasons but simplicity and convenience are priorities for me, at least in my homelab.
- Comment on Which is better OMV or TrueNAS? 1 year ago:
I’ve had a little OMV VM running on Proxmox for about 4 years with no issues at all.
