Fuck off - reported for ad spam
- Comment on Are platforms like reddit just "internet noise" and bots or just genuinely the darkest parts of humanity? 12 hours ago:
Yes. You can and would stumble across the worst the Internet had to offer on /b/. Hardcore shock porn, CP, gore, extreme animal abuse and torture, etc. Was not a good place to hang out for anyone with a shred of decency. There’s a reason they call it the asshole of the Internet.

Yeah UHC sold my data as soon as I was put under their coverage. Now I get so many phishing emails pretending to be from UHC.

Stopped using Google five years ago and I do not miss it.

- Comment on Are bots on lemmy? 1 week ago:
There are still several tells that haven’t completely been ironed out. From years of reading bot comments on reddit, I’m able to discern a bot from a human pretty quickly, so long as I am able to check comment history and time stamps.
They have this weird uncanny valley pattern of speech and it sticks out like a sore thumb when I come across it.
- Comment on Why are people using the "þ" character? 2 weeks ago:
Yep. Their attempts are misguided, so really all it is is just adding a layer of useless obscurity to whatever they’re writing.
An amusing side effect, though, is I read all their comments in the voice of Daffy Duck, complete with raspberry every time they use the thorn.

Looking around at my family, neighbors and coworkers getting hoodwinked by AI left and right… yeah that tracks.
- Comment on Not promotings violence. If someone or some group puts a bounty on a presidents or kings or pm's head how does a person collect and do they give you safe haven in country? 2 weeks ago:
I apologize that I don’t really have an answer for this but I can only read this in Skwisgaar’s voice now.

Just make the next sub out of SD cards, Nokia 3310 phones, and a Logitech controller.
- Comment on What's a bad habit you use to have for a long time but finally fixed? 3 weeks ago:
Energy drinks, namely Red Bull. Loved the blue and yellow ones.
Then in May of last year I started getting toothaches. A root canal, eleven fillings, an extraction, and $6,000 later, I stopped drinking energy drinks and cut down drastically on sugary drinks.

Can confirm; used to indirectly work for them. Stellantis holds nothing but contempt for their employees, suppliers, and customers. Their products are inferior and overpriced.

Wish my coworkers would get the memo. Constantly trying to shove AI videos in my face like “haha look at MLK Jr and Tupac as pro wrestling announcers haha”
As an artist I am deeply repulsed by AI. But other people around me? They love it for some reason.

It’s likely AI generated.
- Comment on PSA: Stop using Imgur for now 5 weeks ago:
Imgur has been shitty for years at this point. They kept fucking with the UI when all I wanted to do was upload images and share the link. They should have stayed in their lane, not try to reinvent their platform as social media. Then their wholesale blocking of VPN traffic? Tired of that nonsense. I use imgbb now.

- Comment on US will complete TikTok deal ‘in coming days’ and control its algorithm, White House says 1 month ago:
Not entirely sure, I’ve never had to decouple someone from social media. My relatives are hopelessly addicted to Facebook.
A suggestion would be to try to gently persuade them of the harms of WeChat, but not to be too pushy about it, could cause them to push back or use it on secret. If they care about their privacy, perhaps taking that route would be beneficial. Having some articles on hand that affirm your argument can help too.
