Good, hope it crashes.

It’s really spiky!
- Comment on Goodwill Isn’t a Platform (thoughts on the Digg beta) 14 hours ago:
Yes, sometimes even more than that.
- Comment on Google's YouTube to pay $24.5 million to settle 2021 lawsuit by Donald Trump over account suspension 1 day ago:
Well now he knows he can extort more money out of them. GG Google. Masters gambit. 🙄

This reeks of chatGPT.

Yep I’ve had my account since 2006. It’s old enough to vote.
- Comment on Indeed updated terms: Forced Arbitration & bundling of consent 6 days ago:
Fuck Indeed. They sell your data to scammers.

We must, unfortunately, factor in the idiots. They’re quite pervasive.
- Comment on US will complete TikTok deal ‘in coming days’ and control its algorithm, White House says 1 week ago:
Not entirely sure, I’ve never had to decouple someone from social media. My relatives are hopelessly addicted to Facebook.
A suggestion would be to try to gently persuade them of the harms of WeChat, but not to be too pushy about it, could cause them to push back or use it on secret. If they care about their privacy, perhaps taking that route would be beneficial. Having some articles on hand that affirm your argument can help too.
- Comment on US will complete TikTok deal ‘in coming days’ and control its algorithm, White House says 1 week ago:
Uninstall TikTok. It’s spyware anyways.

Aw come on, leave Notepad alone! It’s like the last good Windows program.

- Comment on Mods react as Reddit kicks some of them out again: “This will break the site” 2 weeks ago:
I’m starting to get convinced that Redditors and mods are just gluttons for punishment by that platform.
They’re planning on kneecapping old.reddit in this update too, and you see all the typical howling about “if they kill old.reddit I’m leaving fr this time” while at the same time, another big thread one comment lower is about all the ridiculous bans that people have gotten. And this is a mere two years after the API fiasco.
Why do people continue to use a platform that has proven time and time again that the asshole(s) in charge do not give a single fuck about them?
- Comment on Mods react as Reddit kicks some of them out again: “This will break the site” 2 weeks ago:
Can confirm. You can have the mildest takes and still get permbanned.
Did you know, that saying Neo-Nazis should be named and shamed is a permbannable offense?
Reddit is becoming Xitter 2.0 and I’m really hoping the remaining human users on there figure it out soon.
- Comment on What would stop you from switching to a flip phone (or dumbphone) in 2025? 2 weeks ago:
My first cell phone was a flip phone, and I’m not gonna lie, I’ve considered revisiting my teenage days again and getting one. But I feel like, right now, my smartphone use is very light.
I largely avoid Meta apps, I don’t play games, my biggest vice was reddit which has now become a shithole of bots and censorship. I read the news on here, chat a little on Discord, check my birdfeeder and that’s pretty much it besides occasional use of google maps as needed.
On top of that, this phone is from 2018 so it’s battery life these days is not great. I think that helps too.
Maybe for those hesitating to get a dumb phone, perhaps start with an older smartphone to whittle your time down?

Some mainstream websites and services are practically unusable when using a VPN, too. I’m glad I stopped using imgur but I wish the rest of the world would catch up…

Why tf are they encouraging dating when their userbase is primarily children???
That’s just asking for more predators on their platform!
- Comment on Don't worry about the job market on Earth, Gen Z: Sam Altman, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk say you’ll be working in space soon 4 weeks ago:
Just another silly distraction from the fact that they create most of the problems here on earth, and they don’t want you to turn on them.
Eat the rich.

- Comment on How a hacker helped win a wrongful death lawsuit against Tesla 4 weeks ago:
The hacker also has a reddit account and was commenting on this article over there. I’m incredibly surprised that he hasn’t been permbanned yet. That’s usually what happens.
- Comment on how good are you at lying during job interviews? 4 weeks ago:
Keep feeding them BS. Embellish your past experience (within reason), make yourself look good. Management has zero qualms about lying to you, regardless if you’re a prospective hire or have been working for them for decades. So might as well do the same thing.
- Comment on What's going on with imgur right now? 5 weeks ago:
I’m glad I got away from imgur. What I wanted was simple: an image hosting service that didn’t try to be something it’s not, or change its UI every five seconds. Been using imgbb, I like it.

- Comment on Bluesky blocks Mississippi users over age verification law 5 weeks ago:
Does this law apply to all social media or social media-type sites or only social media websites under the umbrella of the NetChoice group?
I’ve read several articles and they’re all frustratingly vague. Bluesky is not under NetChoice so I assume social media sites will be blocking MS IPs?
- Comment on Americans’ junk-filled garages are hurting EV adoption, study says 5 weeks ago:
Yeah, my bfs dad is constantly filling his house, garage, and yard with a bunch of crap that he’ll never use. It just sits there and gets forgotten and deteriorates. Took us 6 years but we got like 90% of what he was storing out of our house too.
