Thank you for turning my shitty sleep deprived joke into something that contributed to the conversation, you’re a real one.

Is it true that no one hates the French quite like the French?

City folks are definitely a thing, and suburban folks ain’t much different. The US is big and has a lot of rural communities. Even the most populated states (California, Texas, New York) all have large areas of agriculture or otherwise sparse population

I think one of the problems is women who die because they have a miscarriage and can’t get medical support. This is something completely avoidable, but the laws are catching these people in the crossfire.

Like king Leopold congo? Like where soldiers would only get more bullets if they could prove that the bullet they used killed a person?

Reminds you just how careful we need to be when exploring celestial bodies. We could inadvertently introduce something completely destabilizing on accident. Humans not required, just our shiny metal shit.

It had broken off of that log before we found it. It was all dried out and was surprisingly light. I would not normally disturb something this extraordinary, but it seemed harmless given the circumstances.

I use Plex and jellyfin, honestly, plex only stays around because of plexamp. It’s just too good. I don’t like using streaming apps like Spotify or whatever because they’re not as good

Showing off is an important part of social MMOs. If anyone can have the really cool looking thing for some cash then what’s the point of grinding? For a hardcore player, what do they have to show off their prestige?
It’s pretty important for an MMO to respect its most active players. Not to mention, what do new players have to look up to? To think, what do I have to get that? If the answer is “oh I just have to fork out some dough”. That’s kinda disappointing

I wonder who did this first? Didn’t ultima have a storyline like this, or am I misremembering a game from before I was born
- Comment on The recent events will probably be the first time that Gen Z and Gen alpha are hearing about 'Pagers'. 4 months ago:
Born just on the cusp of Gen z, so I’m debatably a zoomer. But weren’t pagers a big thing in hospitals for a long time? I certainly saw them while watching scrubs as a kid.

- Comment on How the fuck do you meet new people? 5 months ago:
I’ve had a lot of luck joining a run club, but there are other activity based clubs. The trick to these though is that you need to keep going to them for a while before you really start becoming friends with people.
What’s really worked for me was working as a snowboard instructor on the weekend. I’m not saying do that specifically, but finding a second job based around teaching is an amazing way to meet other people who like meeting new people and being nice and sharing their skills and experiences. I should specify, the people I meet are other instructors. I’ve also met some people at events, like when I got my avalanche rec 1 cert.

I think having thousands of insects collect that nectar is more efficient than trying to do it by hand. But I’d be curious to taste if the bees impart any additional flavor. I know honey made by giving bees primarily sugar water doesn’t taste like much, but there could be other stuff going on with the nectar inside the bee.

Some places/people are really good at making a good crust. Then you’re not eating boring bread, but really good bread. And who doesn’t love good bread.
- Comment on . . . 5 months ago:
It can be surprisingly difficult to get good crust in the US. But I can understand not always wanting to eat the crust in America because some pizzarias just don’t care enough to make a good dough.

Novacaine doesn’t do a very good job of numbing me, especially as I’ve gotten older. Would a robot know to put more on once I start screaming?
Also I hate novacaine, feels bad, then I’m nauseous after.

I was trying to mention things that weren’t just web browsers. Since it seemed the comment was about programs that use more ram than they seemingly need to.
- Comment on Apple argues in favor of selling Macs with only 8GB of RAM 9 months ago:
Is this bait? Because like, you could be rendering, simulating, running virtual machines. Lots of stuff that aren’t web browsers also eat ram
