Our class party’s were always “bring a plate” type parties - parents would give the kids a plate of something to contribute
It was the best.

imma decline this. My town is in the midst of a heatwave. It’s too fuckin’ hot.
Also the only bike in the family is a rusty ok piece with flat tires and the gears perpetually need adjusting. The chain is probably in awful need of lubrication.

Hmmmm… no signs saying you can’t do some donuts with a rear wheel drive car in the rocky patch. That should break all the windows. It may also have the bonus of breaking nearby people too.

- Comment on Qualcomm CEO says that the next version of Windows is due in mid 2024 - place your bets on Windows 11 24H2 or Windows 12 9 months ago:
I finally switched to AMD on my main desktop. Holy crap does it just work. I went straight for hyprland over my previous XFCE based desktop.
I enjoy tinkering so having some programs that just work and some that need a little push is great for me. Gaming is pretty easy these days - games that straight up don’t run I just don’t buy, and protonDB or even the proton issue tracker and wineDB for tips and tricks.
However with DEs I tend to set one up, and keep it how I set it up. I had XFCE for a total of 3 years with no changes. Hopefully I can do the same with Hyprland. I usually only try a new one when reinstalling Linux.

In a same but more drastic vein, you’d have to chop me up and shit In my corpse before I switch back to windows on my home PCs, it’s bad enough I have to use win10 at work imo (I ain’t installing win11 there untill I’m forced to)

At one point it was the top dog - this was before google was even in the browser market mind you. Then they entered and used a lot of… Shall we say interesting marketing practices to usurp firefoxes dominant position - it wasn’t all due to chrome being better.

If you’re the only one who has that issue, or it’s very uncommon, then it’s more likely a software or hardware configuration issue or some corruption on your systems part.
Just saying this, when I used to run windows, weird bugs like that as a cue to do a complete reinstall of windows. Usually would fix every problem I’d been having with every app to date.
Even now deleting everything associated to Firefox and reinstalling the app would probably fix it. The other thing to do is to keep an eye on the behaviour of your browser after installing extensions. Sometimes extensions themselves can cause weird problems.

- Comment on Has google stopped working for finding anything? 10 months ago:
I don’t like Google or apple anymore. Granted apples walled garden approach was never appealing to me. But google antics lately have just sucked the joy out of things. It’s like they’re trying to hinder me at every turn. Just give me a phone with an operating system that I can control, with all the apps I need. Why has that become so hard. Android is good because it has all the apps. But Google’s been trying to lock it down tighter than a ticks ass since they introduced safetynet.

Yeah but little Caesars doesn’t sponsor nearly every single extreme sport on planet earth and they don’t sell their pizza internationally.
Red Bull sponsors, Car racing (F1, Supercars, etc) Aircraft comps (STOL, extreme stunts) snowboarding and many many more. They have their own YouTube channels for their sports. Honestly if you want to see some insane shit, chances are it’s got red bull stamped on it somewhere.
