Babysitting is the reason. AI cannot currently provide childcare, it has to be humans for the time being.

Is it possible to double vote this way (once on each account)? On second thought, would it even matter? A malicious actor could have multiple accounts.

Interesting design with 4 Bowden tubes instead of 1. I also like the filament drying capabilities. I’ll keep my eye on this one.

- Comment on Looking for Guidance on Where to Start 3 months ago:
Welcome! I recommend using the communities tab on https://lemmyverse.net/ to find communities that you’re interested in. For instance there are multiple communities devoted to world news, but each may have a different political leaning. So in lemmyverse click on the link that starts with an exclamation point. Copy and paste it into the search box here on discuss.tchncs.de then click subscribe. Different communities have different topics of conversation. Don’t be afraid to subscribe to different communities on the same topic.
This confused me when I first started, because you won’t be logged in on other instances (servers of lemmy) if you click links that people post to other communities.
Sorry if this is a little long. Good luck and welcome!

- Comment on Does anyone has a .eu.org subdomain? 9 months ago:
My understanding of name servers are where is your domain going to be recorded. For instance, my domain may be something.com but the name server tells the browsers to send the web traffic to 50.50.50.50 where the server lives.
According to this article, https://blog.cpanel.com/how-to-create-your-own-name-servers/, you can do it yourself by manually entering the IP address of the server that your website is hosted on.

My conspiracy theory is that sometimes it sends streams of cars down lanes like that to reduce traffic for others/VIPs. I’m not usually a tin-foil hat person but after a SF commute it makes me wonder.
