Most mobile apps can, and on desktop I found these 2 methods that I mentioned in the comments here. Maybe you find it useful.
- Comment on Use 'Bridgy Fed' to connect Mastodon and Bluesky 4 days ago:
Well I don’t use either of those platforms, I was just curious. I just shared what I observed, I guess it does sound like a complaint.
Mostly disappointed that there even is a need for such a thing. - Comment on Use 'Bridgy Fed' to connect Mastodon and Bluesky 4 days ago:
So all 3 people on the whole bluesky who even know they can do that or give any fuck about mastodon.

So you can’t interact at all, or see bluesky comments or anything. It’s basically as if you subscribed to an RSS feed. Pretty useless no?
Never really understood the appeal of twitter-like platforms anyway.

It’s a really nice app, I like the fact that it uses mpv, but you cannot pick the stream quality in this app? I always avoid re-encoding (picking different stream quality from jellyfin) but I noticed that it’s missing in Findroid.

- Comment on Any good guides for identifying broken parts in a desktop computer ? 10 months ago:
Not an expert, but it wouldn’t hurt checking if it’s a bad RAM. If you have multiple sticks, you could try using your PC with just one at a time, to check if it’s one of them dying.

Federation has been messed up since the last lemmy update.
I think they found the issue though:
Just gotta wait for the update now.
- Comment on What are some helpful resources to learn to touch type on smartphones? 10 months ago:
Yeah, I just tested it in Jerboa…I guess in some apps it just doesn’t work, probably depending on how the text box is implemented in the app or something, I’m not sure.
I didn’t have trouble with it so far because it has been working for all the apps that I use.federation on my lemmy instance is broken, so this message will probably arrive very late

You can enable spell check underline even for keyboards that don’t have it, by changing which app it uses for spell checker specifically. In my case it’s under Android settings >> System >> Languages & input >> Spell checker (under the Tools category), It might be different on your phone, in that case I guess you can just search for “Spell checker” and then u can use Gboard for spell checking for example.

- Comment on Google-hosted malvertising leads to fake Keepass site that looks genuine 1 year ago:
That’s kinda crazy, as it would look like a speck on the screen. I wish I could see the actual site, and see if there is something else sus about it. When I download important things like password managers, I usually try to be extra careful, double check the URL and do the hash check.

Thanks for consideration, but it might not be worth it. I saw this post the other day, and mlmym is only 0.44% (27 votes). So I’d say it’s not worth the trouble.

I gave Alexandrite a shot, I’ve been using it for the last ~2 weeks, I’m still using it right now, but I would like to switch to something else. I just prefer something more simple, I don’t want expandable sidebars, previews, overlays, etc.
Unfortunately mlmym doesn’t have the official site, there are 2 unofficial ones, but they are kinda shady, that is why I made this post… - Submitted 1 year ago to tchncs@discuss.tchncs.de | 6 comments
