You can play the mod on any SteamVR compatible headset, including the very first HTC Vive, the Oculus Rift CV1 and many others. You don’t need an Index to play it

I didn’t even know Bedrock had a VR mode. I’ve tried the Vivecraft mod for Java and it worked very well, albeit required some settings changed to make the controls more natural

“Monopoly”, other platforms are free to compete, Valve isn’t actively trying to stop them

Remedy and Epic agreement was for 2 releases, so I guess Alan Wake Remastered and 2 fit the quota and now they’re free.
Agreed with their bad publisher choices though

“Old” chargers are USB-A. Bundled cables are USB-C to USB-C, so you have to buy a new charger for it, or an USB-A to USB-C cable.
Additionally within the same brand you can have cheap phones with full suite of accessories - a charger, a case and screen protector, but once you go higher with a price tag you get less in a box. Example: OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite, which is now just a brand of Oppo, comes with a charger, a case and a screen protector, while their higher end model Oppo Reno 12 Pro comes with just a screen protector.
Samsung went even a step further and started making their boxes thicker, suggesting it comes with a charger, but in reality it comes with just a cable inside. Forgot which model was it though, iirc one of their Galaxy M line.

Kinda predictable from a person who claimed their product (Phone 2a) has the best unboxing experience, despite bundling an USB cable to it only.

Because most of the time they don’t let you, or make it super difficult to set up
Additionally, most end users aren’t tech savvy and just use whatever was given by the ISP
