Not the same but you can use a terminal browser like lynx, links2, w3m, or browsh and pipe the output wherever you want. Similarly you can force standard browsers to run in an html only mode.

Yeah, that’s a tricky one. I was more so just talking about the openly accepting what happened part of the story. I think that can totally be done without the unconditional support part.
