Alex Oksanen is a sociologist and currently studies in the Masters program for Gender Studies. He participated in the 2024 Palestine solidarity encampment in front of the University of Helsinki and visited the occupied West Bank in the fall of 2025. He recently participated in the Finnish delegation of Global Sumud Flotilla, a civilian-led initiative aiming to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
