I'm realistic more than pessimistic, but perhaps that's optimistic?

@chestas @bookst @bookstodon I'd put it in the bin. #genAI cover so wouldn't trust a word of what's inside, personally.
#noAI #AIslop #AIbooksAh replies just loaded and I see someone else has mentioned already, good.
To add more generally, I'd be very careful recommending 'herbal remedies'.
The thing with drugs (and anything having a physiological effect on the body when ingested/injected is a drug) is we need to know what the safe dose is, how much active ingredient(s) is in a given amount of something, and how pure it is.With herbals, none of that is guaranteed. You don't even know you're getting what's claimed. Impurities and multiple active ingredients can interact with each other and other drugs people might be taking. Always disclose to your HCP! known interactions include with antidepressants, contraceptives, cancer drugs - there are so many risks.
The bottom line is with purchased herbals, the contents are unknown. With plants, amounts and safe doses are generally obscure. This is dangerous for everyone. It's why we manufacture drugs carefully - pure and with known dosage.
