Just started going through first few from 2026 Q1

My most satisfying watch recently is Azur Lane Slow Ahead. A surprise discovery started from listening to random Kano’s songs, one of them is 光の道標. Thinking it is nice and I should try watching the series. The main series is not so good.

Laffey voiced by Naganawa Maria (Kanna Kamui) is cute, Akashi is funny, and pretty much nothing else.

Slow Ahead is what should be the only adaptation IMO. Much more enjoyable, even if all fan-service parts removed.

Now for another entry in song-to-anime pipeline, Cardcaptor Sakura.

I was browsing through Sakamoto Maaya’s songs. Fire Hunter’s ED led me there. Spotted プラチナ, first time hearing it as Miku cover looooong ago. Vaguely remember it’s from Sakura and that I never watch it in full. So, here I am looking for a recommendation.

• Which release should I get for best experience?
• Is there anything else beside TV series + 2 movies?
• Simple release date watch order?

The only positive thing I find in Oregairu is ED, Hello Alone Yui ballad version. That’s it.

How nice it would be to have the story completely erased from my memory…

I’m nearly finished everything I wanted to watch from 2025 Q4.

The only one left is Shuumatsu-Touring. The characters are nice but the plot so far (EP9) is not very engaging. I thought this will be the best so I saved it for last. Wrong move.

It seems that my strategy of watching 1 trailer each and bubble sort the whole season based on my predicted enjoyment, is not giving a good result.

Finished this week (kind of)

• Towa no Yuugure I think this one has the best visual out of roughly 30 I picked from 2025 Q4. Okay-ish story, nothing that will stick with me long afterward. ED is goooood.
• SPY×FAMILY Season 3 It’s been a long while since anime get an audible laugh out of me.

• The Fire Hunter Skipped second season back when it’s airing. Decided to rewatch the whole thing. Not sure if I would watch again if there is a remake in the future. I enjoy the mysteriousness and the world building part up to the end of first season. I don’t know how to describe this kind of “civilization after shit hits the fan” revelation ending, and I don’t remember ever liking any that I have seen.

For 2025 Q4, within the scope of what I watch, I can say without a doubt Campfire Cooking in Another World is the best. (I did not watch the horses)

Made a big purchase of airsoft parts few months back. The parts arrived this week and to set the mood, I’m getting some cute girls with guns ready to binge. If anyone have more, please let me know.

Yes, I know about those, and I double dog dare the people in charge of character design to do this unironically.

Furthest back that I can remember are Doraemon both films and series from around 80s 90s and some other tokusatsu. All on VHS. Can not remember which one exactly is “the first”. I start early ;)

Then some series that I never watched from start to finish on cable network. Like Ranma, Sailor Moon, Oh! My Goddess, You’re Under Arrest!, Houshin Engi, El Hazard, CC Sakura, Galaxy Angels. I always try to be in time for Sakura and Galaxy Angels airing, because cute girls. Never did, because school.

Some certainty with title that marks the moment I start actively seeking out and watching more anime. Probably Sister Princess, fan-subbed, burned on CD-R. Good times.

Oh, I should have word it more clearly. I watch things season by season and currently mid way through fall 2025. 3 behind current season.

Based on hints from other users, I’m 3 seasons behind. Will be a while before I get to taste the five stars cringe.
