- Comment on Science Says People Who Lose Weight on GLP-1 Drugs Face More Stigma Than People Who Stay Overweight. That’s Just Weird 1 month ago:
I’ve lost 110lbs with it, however I take it for diabetes so it was secondary. The nausea is pretty bad, you lose more hair, there is muscle pain, there are dangerous side effects. I wouldn’t call it the easy way out. Despite these side effects, this treatment works best for me with the fewest side effects. The best thing about these drugs is they reduce your appetite for everything, food, drugs, your entire relationship with food changes permanently. I’ve lost that much weight before, the so called hard way, and I’d say both ways come with unique challenges. But the change in my relationship with food has helped me keep the weight off and drop other bad habits. That’s a good thing. It kind of reminds me of the backlash against c-sections. People think it’s the easy way out when nothing could be further from the truth. C-sections are often emergent after considerable labor and even when they’re not, they are twice as hard to recover from and you have more pain, not less. People are quick to punch down, it’s a bad habit.
