Not sure how sharing how I slept with their sister will make me a better dancer but I’ll try it.
- Comment on A Steam Machine update reignited release date fears, but Valve say the new hardware is still shipping this year 1 week ago:
An i7 4970K (DDR3) or similar CPU can actually be decent in 2026 for gaming.

I remember having to remove the battery of one of my phones to change the SIM card. It was particularly annoying because that phone/SIM had issues registering so I would have to reinsert the SIM card a few times and reboot each time.

Looks like they’ve lifted the subscription requirement for free to play games.

Still need a subscription fee to play online, most likely.

If you have all the pieces still and they’re not broken into tiny pieces then superglue would be your best bet. Get some that is good for ceramic and have a bottle with a fine tip. I just bought some cheap Amazon stuff to do some ceramic repair. Unlike the smooth outside of the cup, the surface of the cracked pieces are rough and porus and makes a great surface for gluing.

This process is generally not lethal. They are returned to nature once this process is completed, although some do die in the process. Also I’m no expert but those containers might be a collection of multiple crab’s worth of blood.
Not trying to defend or attack this process.

I find it very irresponsible of Denmark to be pioneering new types of cancer.
- Comment on Earbugld question: Does anyone actually like to silicone tipped earbuds over the solid plastic ones? 2 weeks ago:
Silicone tipped are so much better. They’re easier to clean, they’re more comfortable, and they block out outside noise much better.

Heavy snow is still great as an adult. It’s beautiful and quiet and peaceful. And things like snowboarding and donuts in empty parking lots are fun too.

I love how the Gamebryo site is still up. I thought it was funny it was still up like 10 years ago when I looked last, and it’s still up now without any changes.

You could almost manufacture it based on this image, granted that’s a 1/4" impact bit. All it would take is one bolt being smuggled to their factory or one photograph of a spec sheet.

I don’t know what 15 degrees Fahrenheit feels like. Or 5. Or 35. Or 45.
- Comment on Is there a decent video compressor like compressing from like 4k to 720p? Quality not an issue. I am used to watching cams when movies come out. Just size downward. 5 weeks ago:
Depending on your hardware strength and what media you’re converting, the handbrake suggestion might be best. But I’m coming in to say that does take a lot of compute power. You mentioned watching cams, so if it’s popular TV/movie data you’re compressing, it’s often quicker to just download a different, lower resolution source from torrent.
