For your experience to be a happy one, the experience is not primarily reliant on what is being experienced being something which brings happiness to you, it is the you, which is experiencing, that needs to be of happiness.
So, although the outer world affects the inner being and a better world will improve the inner experience for many and is therefore a just cause, the search for a life of personal happiness is primarily about the situation within you and not the situation around you. - PunkMonk
- Comment on China: ‘The state is using generative AI to engineer reality through informational gaslighting’ 2 weeks ago:
I don’t like how AI is developing, I don’t support state surveillance on the general population and I want China to be better in many aspects but this is typical anti-communist drivel. All the buzzwords and usual terminology such as: CCP, authoritarian, calling the west democratic states, indirectly labelling Tibet and Xinijiang as seperate countries.
Also, >This means refusing to purchase AI models that conceal political or historical censorship
Every Western AI does this, total hypocrisy. garbage liberal propaganda.
- Comment on The one science reform we can all agree on, but we're too cowardly to do 2 weeks ago:
Yep, with the capitalist class as the ruling class and a lack of revolutionary action, this won’t change.
As the capitalists are merely acting within their percieved class interests here, the only chance for this to change, aside from the obvious socialist revolution, is to pressure them as an organised working class to do so.
- Comment on Migration minister fails UK citizenship test question 3 weeks ago:
Yeah I got 71% too, which is a fail so I guess I am no longer British. Born and raised here btw! What a stupid, racist test.
- Comment on Trans children ‘will lose any hope of happiness’ under school gender guidance 1 month ago:
Where we were at as a country 15 years ago when it came to homophobia is approximatelynwhere we are at today with transphobia in my opinion. It is far too normalised, I’ll hear people joke about a friend of a friend of a friend being a ‘they/them thing’ same way I would hear about someone being a ‘bender’ back when I was still in primary school.
Like this person you know nothing about has decided to come out as non-binary, one of the bravest and hardest decisions in their fucking life, and here you are laughing at them you pathetic, ignorant, gossiping man-child.
