Humans spent thousands of years without rulers. Also, look at all the grassroots organizations trying to stop fascism in America right now.
Leaders are dispensable AND disposable. We do not need them.

You know that anarchism doesn’t mean no rules right? It just means no rulers, but that’s not how it works on Lemmy or any social media of this type for that matter.

I’m being hyperbolic, but I do think every CEO of every company in America worth hundreds of billions should be arrested, have their companies broken up, and them sent to Supermax prisons for mass fraud.

If America was a serious country they would break up Amazon for this AND arrest Bezos and send him to Guantanamo. But I fear they never were.

Messaging your reps actually works, though. If enough people flood the lines, the information will be passed to the rep and they don’t usually feel good about it. It can actually change their voting - if you look on Bluesky you’ll see various campaigns of line flooding that HAVE yielded results.
Your post is extremely suspicious because it feels like you’re actively trying to undermine and depress the voter into not doing something effective for some nefarious reason. No one without ulterior motives has ever tried to say calling or messaging your reps does nothing.

Ah, so a suburban white woman who would probably call the police on a black man jogging in front of her house?

Did you not read the Twitter thread? The facial verification is shared with Palantir, the DOJ, and ICE. Yes, including Roblox’s. What makes you think the DOJ would NOT try to build a profile on someone going through age verification who’s brown enough to be considered an “illegal” and possibly detain or deport them if they criticize ICE?

Because those parents are pushing for age verification stuff, that has already been confirmed by hackers to be sent straight to the DOJ and ICE to make a database and link people’s internet profiles to their real names.

It’s not a fallacy, you fucking idiot, IT IS LITERAL FUCKING REALITY. They got fucking CAUGHT RED HANDED by a bunch of hackers using OpenAI to give the IDs from Discord to ICE, to either silence critics or kidnap more people.
Get your head out of the damn sand. You’re not helping.

Seat belts are different because if someone is in a car is not wearing one and carrying passengers, that person will become a 200 pound pinball in case of a crash and crush everyone else to death. Do YOU want to sign away your ability to criticize Trump and ICE because some dipshit parent didn’t do what they’re supposed to fucking do and got their kid groomed?

You’re not allowed to take someone else’s rights because someone else is a fucking irresponsible idiot. That’s not how this works.

As much as I think this is all terrible and that Roblox SHOULD answer for some of this shit, the fact of the matter is, PARENTS ARE NOT TEACHING KIDS HOW TO BE SAFE IN THE INTERNET. They just throw a fucking tablet or phone or console or PC screen in front of their eyes and refuse to do ANYTHING resembling parenting, and when their kid inevitably gets groomed they blame the platform and ask for daddy government to do their parenting for them.
Set parental controls, teach kids to not trust strangers and give them basic internet safety tips, and none of this shit will ever happen.

The second amendment itself prevents ammunition from being marked out of people’s budget. Also, did you forget about what a certain bearded man said in 1898?

And most of those laws are either stupid, out of touch, racist, or multiple of those. In a fair amount of times it’s all three.

They are essentially trying to regulate technology they know very little about.
That’s not surprising, that’s just what politicians do. Especially politicians who are 65+ years old who are completely out of touch with technology.

You have multiple search engines at your disposal, my man. Just search for it. Also, almost every single post of those politicians has thousands of bot replies and the pattern is always there every time someone with a high follower count posts.

Actually, they did. 90% of Twitter’s activity now is bots. The only people left are either artists who are completely delusional about their numbers (they have like 13k followers but barely get 200 likes), or mega nazis. Everyone else is no longer there and has moved to places like Bluesky or Mastodon. In fact, I myself never made it past 150 followers on my old twitter account and I had that one for 12 years. My current one has 82 followers and never climbed past that. Bluesky tho? I already have 170+ followers in less than two years of owning the account, and many other artists reached their Twitter follower count in a tiny fraction of the time.

Not only it’s unstable, but a friend of mine who dabbles with it also vouched for it being extremely unstable, and also it has a massive CSAM bot problem. A lot of IRC channels had to shut down their Matrix bridges cause they kept getting spammed with that shit. To that guy IRC is actually more user friendly.
