- Comment on YSK a US passport card costs $30 and is definitive proof of citizenship. It fits in your wallet like a credit card. 1 week ago:
Everyone should get a passport. You never know if you ever need to travel in an emergency. In addition if Republicans do impose stricter voter ID laws you’ll be ready for it.
But I would very strongly recommend getting the larger passport in addition to the card because the card doesn’t let you do as much as the passport book.
- Comment on YSK: A real American Civil war will NOT be like Battlefield or COD. 1 week ago:
I totally agree with this post. We don’t need violence or a civil war. I really believe peacefully organizing and changing the minds of voters can make a big difference. We can win the midterms big in 2026. We first reach out to undecided voters and then flip them to blue and keep building momentum such that by the time it’s November Democrats will flip so many seats.

The only thing people should be giving up is their Amazon Prime subscriptions and AWS hosting. You’re very likely getting ripped off and overcharged if you use AWS. Also although I recommend ordering from other websites if you have no choice but to use Amazon you don’t need Prime for free shipping, just keep adding stuff you actually need to your cart until you get over the free shipping threshold.

This is good but no matter what I don’t think Google should have such a monopoly over the web.
- Comment on Amazon is forcibly upgrading Prime members to Alexa Plus, and users are not happy 1 week ago:
Solution: cancel your Amazon Prime subscription. Remember that Bezos also funded Trump’s inauguration and he ruined the Washington Post.

For what it’s worth I read the whole thing in what felt like one or two minutes and I don’t think I’m a particularly fast reader. I think it looks longer because there are not many blank lines. It seems well written but I guess I do slightly get that AI feeling too, it just might be because he/she is a good writer so now people think good writing is AI, sad it’s coming down to this.

Good point! I fixed the sentence.
- Comment on Microsoft Office has been renamed to “Microsoft 365 Copilot app” 3 weeks ago:
I think it’s time to make a serious push into getting people to boycott Microsoft along with OpenAI. Windows is becoming a bloated surveillance operating system and Office 365 is raising their prices and adding an AI feature based on OpenAI’s LLMs. OpenAI donated $25 million to Trump.

Russia tried to invade Ukraine and that’s why we have the war. Russia is being imperialistic and Ukraine wants to preserve their country and not live under a Putin dictatorship.
The EU is preparing and strengthening themselves in response to Russia’s aggression. The end result is that they are more resilient and stronger against threats.
By standing up to Russia’s aggressions they are showing the world that they will not tolerate military invasions into another country. Meanwhile Trump threatening to annex other countries is giving a green light to dictators like Putin and Xi Jingping to invade other countries.

THERE IT IS AGAIN! “ANTISEPTIC”! It’s a psychic trigger word implanted by the globalist pedophile vampires to short-circuit your brain before you can expose the truth about their dual-citizenship space bank on Mars! They’re not just cleaning the information, they’re sterilizing your soul with fluoride-laced chemtrails so you’ll be too docile to notice the lizard people running the Federal Reserve and using your Social Security number to power their gay frog-transmuting weather machines! IT’S ALL CONNECTED!
/s again of course.

Oh, you don’t mean “antiseptic,” you mean “antisemitic,” and let me tell you, that Freudian slip is the key to the whole thing! They’re not just cleaning the wound of truth, they’re cauterizing it with their globalist mind lasers! This isn’t a mistake; it’s a coded message from the deep state, a subconscious cry for help as their brain-waves are being scrambled by the 5G towers they’re using to turn the frogs gay and control the weather! It’s all a plot by the interdimensional goblin bankers who live inside the hollow Earth, and they’re using these Hollywood CEOs as their puppets to distract you while they replace your drinking water with nanobots that make you crave avocado toast and obey their every command! WAKE UP BEFORE THEY TURN YOU INTO A SOY-BASED CYBORG DRONE!
Huge /s of course.

BoJackHorseman, I think you’re getting brainwashed by “X”/Twitter. Maybe you should consider taking a break from social media then when you come back please read this article: bbc.com/…/20240509-the-sift-strategy-a-four-step-…

And the fact he linked to “X” is just icing on the cake. We can see what app is rotting his brain.
- Comment on What's it going to take to truly stop the US? 3 weeks ago:
Take the first steps. Here are things you can do right now:
- Stop using Microsoft Office especially stop using Office 365 and switch to Libreoffice.
- Stop using Windows and switch to Linux.
- Stop using Reddit and switch to Lemmy (for other people, not you since you’re already here)
- Cancel your OpenAI/ChatGPT/Copilot subscriptions if you have those.
- Most importantly stop using Twitter if you use that and urge everyone else to do likewise. Bluesky I really like but it’s technically based in the US too but rewarding non-rightwing companies is like positive reinforcement. I haven’t seen enough people talk about using both the carrot and the stick. There’s also Mastodon which is great but some people feel it’s more for “techy” type people.
- Comment on What's it going to take to truly stop the US? 3 weeks ago:
Right! I’m shocked anyone would want that. I just told someone else it’s like leaving an abusive partner for an even more abusive partner. I’ve noticed countries being pushed towards China after the US went even more crazy after Trump winning. I believe they are making a mistake. Japan, South Korea and Taiwan could fulfill most of the same needs as China does and do so better. Just as a random example Japanese capacitors are known for their high quality. Japan and China both supply capacitors. Why not bolster Japan’s instead of China’s?
- Comment on What's it going to take to truly stop the US? 3 weeks ago:
You want more global support for China and Russia?
That’s like leaving an abusive partner and going to an even more abusive partner.
We need to support stable and ethical countries like EU countries.

VGA meant to say that China would replace the US if they acted better. VGA is not blaming China for the US.
However I will assign a little blame to China for Trump because TikTok helped get Trump elected. I strongly suspect that there was a backroom deal between TikTok/China and Trump prior to the 2024 election.
This article is the most damning: theinformation.com/…/how-tiktok-courted-conservat… (archive/non-paywall: archive.is/TUjo9)
The top leaders pushed through content moderation changes that made TikTok more accepting of some conservative views on the fairness of elections or transgender rights, including by updating policies on banned content or enforcing them differently.
I hate the way they worded that. What they really mean is allowing the big lie (false claims the 2020 election was rigged) and transphobia.
See: theverge.com/…/trump-tiktok-ban-maga-influencers (archive link: archive.is/DMOLf)
MAGA influencers also view TikTok as a relatively reliable platform to publish pro-Trump content without fear that their accounts will get demonetized, restricted, or worse, deactivated.

“Trump won the election because he listened to first-time voters like myself and joined TikTok to get his message to us directly,” RNC Youth Advisory Council Chair Brilyn Hollyhand told Fox News Digital of the impending ban.
Also see: apnews.com/…/ap-top-news-courts-john-bolton-polit…
President Donald Trump “pleaded” with China’s Xi Jinping during a 2019 summit to help his reelection prospects, according to a scathing new book by former Trump adviser John Bolton that accuses the president of being driven by political calculations when making national security decisions.

We need aggressive action against this. Urge every politician you can to make media literacy taught in school. Students must learn how to identify disinformation and propaganda.

Data shows it’s working. Maybe not enough to bring Twitter down right now but hopefully it can die a death of a thousand cuts.
bskycheck.com/stats.php. Bluesky was averaging roughly 20000 new years per day. Now we see over 56000 new users on December 23 and over 89000 on December 24.
I’ve been seeing some people say the only reason they’re on Twitter is because they follow some artists who are only on Twitter.
The thing to keep in mind is that not everyone is as informed as we are about Twitter’s Nazi problem. Some people may just follow their favorite artists and celebrities and just drown out all the political stuff and not realize that by using Twitter they are helping enrich and sustain a person and a platform that radicalize people and spread Nazi propaganda.
