- Comment on Are achievements still relevant in 2026—especially when mods disable them? 3 days ago:
I usually don’t hunt them but some times i do, if it’s a game I’m particularly interested in and i don’t have to go out of my way too much for them. I also like how you can tell a story with them. In the Talos Principle for example there are very branching options that you decide on by being attentive and by testing your philosophy. On my achievement showcase i can now show which path i went on my favourite game. There’s also the aspect of hints. They hung at little extra challenges and generally tell you there’s something left to experience in the game. For example BG3: after finishing the game I have only 26/54, so i know there’s a lot of content I’ve not explored. I might eventually do another run of it. Had i like 40 something achievements I’d be like “yeah idk that little extra content isn’t worth digging for 60 hours again. I also like the aspect of seeing the achievements of friends showing up in my timeline so i know if i can talk about a certain part of the game without spoiling it.
Oh also if you don’t want some achievements to show up for friends, you can hide the game and activity for others.

Lil shout-out to pokerogue at this: it is a gen 4 style (i think) fan project that has all the current mons minus the newer mega evolutions in pixel art with up to 3 different shiny variants per mon even. The gameplay loop is very simple with battle/event -> pick reward -> repeat but it’s still very fun

- Comment on What are the best solo, free, PnP table games for someone coming from dnd burnout? 3 weeks ago:
I read it like that. In Germany we say PnP (pen and paper) instead of ttrpg, which makes it easy to assume that’s the English term, as it’s English words in German

They really are teasing us with the princess meeting her bestie eventually. I can’t wait
- Comment on Meta progression in roguelites was fun for a while, but it's starting to feel unrewarding 5 weeks ago:
I feel especially Roguelites are bad for limited playtime because they are often designed around having to do the same-ish thing multiple times to get enough meta progression to be able to finish the game. Like the game has content for 2 hours but stretches it to 15 because you need meta progression.

Having played the demo I had some seemingly random drops to 30fps in places that didn’t look demanding so i hope i can fiddle some settings. For reference i have an AMD 7800XT gpu and a 7800X3D cpu

But we already have a sufficient amount of media production and low prices without slop and also media is recreational while clothes are a necessity
- Comment on Science Is Drowning in AI Slop 1 month ago:
What a shit take, lol. Clothes had still been designed by humans for your weird comparison. Machines just made them easier to replicate. We already have the same for music, video and the like. It’s called files you can easily distribute through the internet instead of having to go to see a concert to experience music. We’ve already been drowning in more handmade videos and music than a person can consume, very often for free or for very little money.

I really enjoyed *We Were Here * with a good friend. It’s a coop escape room like puzzle game where you’ll play in different rooms but your puzzles interact with the other room and you’ll have to communicate and work the two rooms together to solve it
- Comment on Valve tweak Steam Community Awards to deal with point farming and "attention-grabbing content" 1 month ago:
This update is more important because before this, the awards granted the recipient steam points that they could trade for cosmetics to have even have a more legit looking account to try to scam people with. So the awards gave points and there was a clown award -> trolls post ragebait, often in the form of queer hate or fake queer demands, to farm clown awards for points. The hope is, that now that the recipients don’t get points anymore, the troll farming stops at least in part.

Usually the runner announces when it’s a good time for donations and then they’ll read a bunch during that segment and afterwards the runner and/or couch comment on the game again

Considering how massive the free update is my guess is they’ve been holding a lot of stuff back but yeah I don’t think there’s been a lot of updates these past months

I’ve been playing the game just fine on Linux for about 50 hours. Idk if a native build would be that useful
