We both know why you won’t answer.
It’s because you didn’t know about the one-time purchase for remote streaming, had already dug your heels in too deep, and now you’re desperately trying to pivot and save face.
Truly, utterly pathetic.
- Comment on Netflix kills casting from phones 2 weeks ago:
So what you’re saying is that you were completely wrong and so smug and confident about it?
What a shocker.
- Comment on Netflix kills casting from phones 2 weeks ago:
What delusions, exactly?
Because the thing I’m talking about is listed in their new FAQ and support pages. So it can’t be that, right?
Enlighten me, what is it?
- Comment on Netflix kills casting from phones 2 weeks ago:
Did you get lost?
My entire point was that Plex has set a precedent of not honouring their one-time purchases by requiring people who made it to now either get Remote Watch Pass or a full Plex Pass.
If you want to simp for Plex, have fun. But if they decide to invalidate your “one-time” purchase, don’t be surprised.
- Comment on Netflix kills casting from phones 2 weeks ago:
There was only ever one one time Plex pass sold. And it was the Plex pass. For a lifetime.
Correct. Which is why both of us keep saying we’re not talking about the Plex Pass. We’re talking about the one-time purchase to unlock remote streaming on Android/iOS.
- Comment on Netflix kills casting from phones 2 weeks ago:
… Because you bought a Plex Pass, which I specifically said is not what I’m talking about.
Are you dyslexic?
- Comment on Netflix kills casting from phones 2 weeks ago:
I’m not talking about the lifetime Plex pass or monthly pass.
If you paid the one-time purchase to unlock streaming to your device, Plex has stopped honouring that deal. You now either need to pay for a Remote Streaming Pass, or a Plex Pass.
- Comment on Netflix kills casting from phones 2 weeks ago:
What does that have to do with Plex dropping support for people that payed the one-time purchase?
- Comment on Netflix kills casting from phones 2 weeks ago:
The one-time purchase was for iPhones too.
- Comment on Netflix kills casting from phones 2 weeks ago:
I bought a one-time purchase to unlock streaming to my Android device years ago.
Let’s hope they don’t alter your deal too.
- Comment on Netflix kills casting from phones 2 weeks ago:
Until they make it exclusive to the Plex Pass

Right, and the point is that nostr isn’t “crypto-powered” by that colloquial definition. It is “crypto-powered” in that it uses encryption though.

Lol it says it right at the end of your quote.
Nostr is a protocol, not a platform.

Minecraft server on a laptop. Life has never been the same since.
- Comment on Is it insane to run a home server on an old laptop instead of a Raspberry Pi for self-hosting - what do I need to worry about? 5 weeks ago:
Not only not insane, but actually a great idea, for all the reasons you mentioned, but also because it’ll be x86 where the Pi is ARM, so software compatibility will be that much better.

Wow, what a good faith breakdown!
No, he wanted the ability to built microblogging platforms on top of a decentralized relay network.
But of course, you only skim-read, so can’t blame you too much.

Ah yes, Twitter, the famous protocol for sending signed JSON blobs over a relay network.
