Kudos, that’s an even better metaphor.

Yeah, because those devices have age-inappropriate content already pre-installed amirite???
Honestly though, how the fuck do they keep justifying the mental gymnastics behind this? If you were to never set a foot on the internet after buying the device, there’s no need for age verification; and even if you do, as long as you don’t visit any site that hosts inappropriate content, it still doesn’t warrant an age verification.
It’s up to the content platform to ensure that no child visits inappropriate content. Think about it: a store IDs a person when they try to buy alc/tobacco, NOT when they just enter the store.

This is like making profits from people with diabetes by selling expensive insulin; if they don’t get it, they die.
More like taking advantage of a drunk person, but I agree. Still a shitty thing to do.

No, this is just why you don’t use Windscribe.
They have a reputation for being in a legislation where they have to save logs. They themselves know that they’re the “black sheep” among VPN providers, which is why they continuously make cheap offers and use raunchy advertising, like this one: Image
Doesn’t take a genius to figure out that their VPN is likely insecure

After Bin Laden was killed, the CIA released the contents of his hard drive. Index can be found here. Search for “Windows” and you’ll find multiple system files, drivers, etc.

- Comment on Mount an ISO in Linux? 1 month ago:
This is just invoking a command, it’s basically the same as double-clicking a .exe in Windows, just without a mouse. There’s no need to “learn coding” to do this. Coding involves complex logic; this doesn’t.
The biggest put off to Linux is the absolute shit community it has
Have you ever given it a shot? Most Linux users I’ve encountered are very friendly. Yes, there are some boards (like Arch forums) where people get pissy at noobs; however Arch isn’t a noob-friendly distro, in contrast to Mint/openSUSE etc.
Attitude matters as well; if you start off by shitting on stuff you have limited knowledge of, you won’t get a friendly response.

After ignoring the TES games my whole life, I first played Oblivion a few years ago, and for once in a very long time, I felt the same feeling I did when playing GTA San Andreas for the first time as a little kid.
I spent the first 10hrs or so just stealing stuff and fighting in the Arena, didn’t even touch the main story. In Oblivion, there is soooo much stuff to do, and I didn’t even mod it.
Elden Ring is definitely a great game, but it’s pale in comparison to Oblivion when it comes to “freedom to do anything”. Even Skyrim couldn’t top that for me. Don’t know about Witcher 3 though, I have yet to play it.
