By dissident, do you mean anyone who commits a thought crime?

I never cared for any of his crap until last year when he deep dived into tech. The tech videos are good, he is a generally entertaining person. The dude has unlimited time and too much money, so he gets crazy deep in the weeds. It some ways I would say he is more competent that a lot of engineers. The self-hosted LLM videos are a good start.

And that is why they NDA anyone who touches a dev kit.

They fired all of the devs before release to miss the release target to avoid paying shipping bonuses. There is only one side to chose. The one with morals.

If I made $1000 an hour and worked every hour of a year it would take me ~114 years to earn $1B, that is how fucking large a billion. is. People cannot fathom how much money $1B is.

It’s a common law court, the party that loses pays the majority of the others legal fees. In common law the risk of losing usually prevents stupid lawsuits.

Just make a zip bomb and brick their PCs. nakedhumans42.zip will need to be inspected.
- Comment on Reddit users hate NordVPN. Are their criticisms legit? 1 week ago:
Yes, NordVPN is garbage. As a SysAdmin, my users that run it on their home PC along with our VPN are a continuous pain in the ass. The product only needs to be 5% of what it is, the rest is Anti-virus bs. It either: does not play well with other VPNs, is impossible to disable, or the people that buy this product are not computer literate enough to use such a complicated peice of shit. All of the above is also a possibility. Since it’s their home PC, we won’t go on it to fix anything and all I can do is blindly troubleshoot. The VPN I use cost me $20 a year and the only thing it does is be a VPN. It should be called NordComplicatedSecuritySuite.

I had to turn down my block multiplier so that I could play Unreal Engine games. I would suspect that would extend the lifetime. After the underclock I have perfect stability.

Does Claude even have enough spacial awareness to be useful? Sifting through human text is what LLMs do best but not anything that requires a lot of spacial awareness.

I figure losing half their users while making money on their new surveillance scheme might be more profitable. Than have 100% of their user continue to use the app as is.
- Comment on Discord Users Threaten Exodus Over Age Verification Face Scan Controversy 5 weeks ago:
Since the 90s every few years you have had to move. You get over it eventually. There will be stragglers that will always hold on to the old one, they will be the last to the new platform. It’s happened before and it will happen again.

After work do you say to yourself “work work work for money money money”, because those are the vibes you are giving off.
- Comment on Usually a horrible interaction for all involved 1 month ago:
One Friday I had to go into to the office for an early meeting. Walked in the, saw my boss, my boss’ boss, HR, and an owner. I just said Fuck out loud and was immediately reassured that it is not what it looks like. They were laying people off, some of which were my friends. IT will always know before hand, we have to deactivate people’s access in a way they don’t notice until they get their meetings/calls. It does not feel good.

While you think sysadmins are your enemy, you are you own enemy and we are just trying to save you from yourself.
- Comment on Follow the rules! 1 month ago:
I have found they are the most likely to have lower computer literacy than they need to be for their job. It’s not optional, no SysAdmin should have to babysit someone.

One of two things, which ever happens first. The tread wears and a part goes all the way to the sole or the tread wears and I fall down on the hill by work when it is raining or snowing.
- Comment on Jensen Huang says relentless negativity around AI is hurting society and has "done a lot of damage" 2 months ago:

- Comment on Do people actually believe those "gurus" on the internet that supposedly "give advice"? These seems very sussy and feel scam-adjacent, isn't it? 2 months ago:
People are always looking to make a easy dollar but pretty much everything except having a job is too good to be true.
