- Comment on Stephen Colbert says CBS didn't air Rep. James Talarico interview out of fear of FCC 16 hours ago:
It’s the Orson Wells playbook. “See the movie that the Hersts dont want you to see!!”
Still brilliant either way.
- Comment on Spotify says its best developers haven't written a line of code since December, thanks to AI 3 days ago:
There is zero chance this is true.
- Comment on Elon Musk's xAI loses second cofounder in 48 hours 3 days ago:
I workout, eat healthy, avoid alcohol and drugs all in an effort to live long enough to see these assholes punished somehow, someway.
- Comment on Why are people disconnecting or destroying their Ring cameras? 5 days ago:
Put your reolink in privacy mode so it wont contact the reolink servers. Then set up Frigate to record a week of data. You dont need much space for 7 days of a couple of cameras.

Fucking disgrace.

Just the battery life alone will be enough to hook you on macs. The air is such a nice piece of hardware for the price.

hopefully his shitty AI will tank his nazi rockets. one can only hope.
- Comment on When you know your boss is an insane moron 2 weeks ago:
Thats awesome. Malicious compliance.
I used to really dread working for shitty bosses, but the older i get the more i enjoy fucking them. They are like spoiled children, conpletely incapable of dealing with an employee that pushes back.
I like to imagine i’ve inspried other employees to also mess with their shitty bosses. one can dream…
- Comment on People espousing that unions don't work should have a look at police unions. 2 weeks ago:
HMMMM, I wonder why police unions were allowed to exist, but all the others were decimated and neutered?
- Comment on When you know your boss is an insane moron 2 weeks ago:
Holy shit, i would be so fucking lazy and difficult for the next week probably 2 if someone sent me an email like this.
My pettiness knows no bounds when it comes to power hungry twats like this one.

This sounds bad, but once the teens and grandparents find lemmy, then its game over. It happened to facebook and it happened to reddit. The masses cause a sort of averaging out of content.
How do we keep the fediverse niche?

i always thought the car makers and other manufacturers were engineed led. I admit i am no expert in modern Japanese business.
- Comment on AI boom could falter without wider adoption, Microsoft chief Satya Nadella warns 4 weeks ago:
Maybe build something useful that solves a real problem?
I cant believe the CEO of a company as large as MS would fall for “if you build it, they will come” like some kind of noob. Any entrepreneur knows PMF is king.
- Comment on Majority of CEOs report zero payoff from AI splurge 4 weeks ago:
In Japan, engineeing companies are run by the engineers which I think is the better way.
Ill never understand why American companies insist on being led by business majors who know nothing and dont care about the product being built.
- Comment on Microsoft Office has been renamed to “Microsoft 365 Copilot app” 1 month ago:
Microsoft has like 15 words they just keep rearranging for all their products, kinda like what taco bell did for “mexican” food.
- Comment on Windows 11’s 2025 problems are getting impossible to ignore 1 month ago:
Debian + KDE has been rock solid, if you dont already have a favorite distro. KDE is just what you expect in a traditional desktop, it doesnt have a bunch of ui experiments to make things “better”.
- Comment on Windows 11’s 2025 problems are getting impossible to ignore 1 month ago:
This is how i feel about 98% of Azure. Its just so needlessly complicated, with incomprehensible defaults, and out of date documentation, and APIs that just fail silently.
- Comment on Not to get all religous but was not Jesus pissed for people making money in churches? Didn't he flip tables and everything? Then how do churches nowadays explain the collection plate? 2 months ago:
The bible is long and contradictory. its a bit like palm reading, it can say whatever you want it to say.
- Comment on Microsoft AI CEO pushes back against critics after recent Windows AI backlash — "the fact that people are unimpressed ... is mindblowing to me" 2 months ago:
Call me old fashoined, but i like my computers to do exactly what I yell them to do.

Did amazon finally run out of warm bodies to run through their meat grinder? I can’t believe no one wants to pee in bottles and get pipped after 6 months.
- Comment on Software by the Electronic Frontier Foundation that, when linked up with the correct hardware, becomes a Stingray for detecting Stingrays. 3 months ago:
Thats not correct. Iphones and androids are never truly off. There are a few privacy focused phones by small makers with hardware switches for each radio. You can run android or linux on them.
- Comment on do you remember a time when societies were so polarized and shifted so much to the right like today? How long did it last? 4 months ago:
We don’t tax those things because we don’t have true representation. Our “representatives” do not work for the people, they work for the rich. Senators, Congressman, SC, and the president should all be put in jail if they are convicted of taking bribes. Unfortunately, we have two separate sets of laws in this country, one for the rich, and one for the poor.
