maturity leaves a scar in your brain to teach you a lesson.

i think kids should be allowed to vote. from the moment we’re born, we should have a say. we have adults that act like crybabies anyways, so it balances out.

i wanna steal elon musk’s toys. i’d go to the moon and build a time machine a safe distance from everyone.

the most original playground is mother nature, and it’s a lifelong workout exploring this great, big planet.

not knowing where things come from is innocence. part of the burden of knowledge is the responsibility to create what’s gone, and to share the burden.

sometimes, does my silly-ness come off as insanity? what if everyone’s just acting childish and silly all the time? i think i need to grow up and be productive… that’s the punchline 🤭👏👏👏 ok but fr

not just “alive” things but “dead” things too. the “dead” multivitamin i took this morning is absorbed into my “living” cells now. the air we breath has been inhaled and exhaled countless times for eons. loose hair and dead skin cells become dust and soil again.
the universe is an ocean, and we are a wave. we’re made of stardust and dinosaur farts.

me too! but this one time in high school calculus, my classmate beside me ate the core and put the seeds and stem on a napkin, like i usually did. but then he proceeded to pour them all into his hand and SWALLOW IT IN ONE BIG GULP, and ngl it really pissed me off for some reason. after that, i preferred eating oranges.

at least they’re being honest. that way we can tell them to seek therapy… right? there must be someone that’s cared enough to tell them that instead of just mirroring the same lack of sympathy back at them too

omg yeah, combining them all to go on a high bike ride with friends sounds AMAZING
i better organize something before it snows cuz that might give them second thoughts about it; wouldn’t stop me tho 😂🥶

personally i have periods of fluctuation. there are some months where i smoke weed every day, others of complete sobriety where im ‘addicted’ to yoga and cycling every day, and inbetween where i just use substances socially with friends or at gatherings like raves.

the strangest yet most profound things find me while im on shrooms. or maybe that’s only when i start noticing them…
this post makes so much sense, yet the more i think about it the less sense it makes.
im gonna go touch grass and look at the light spiders and the strange webs they weave now

have you considered pivoting away from socks towards mittens for feet?

woah that’s so cool, so the expanding steam is making a barrier across the surface of the skin!?!?
if you shot a durian at the sun, how close could it get before burning up?
would it form a tiny atmosphere with microscopic weather patterns and have a comets tail of steam?

currently rewatching the show firefly rn, but after i will start The expanse. ive seen other mentions of it around here on lemmy, and they always avoid revealing spoilers so i will too.
so this is just a general question shooting off of your edit: i wonder what a baby born and grown in higher-than-earth g’s would be like?
- Comment on Education doesn't increase intelligence by making people memorize things, but by constantly reminding people that they might be wrong. 5 weeks ago:
i think you have a narrow view of what education is. this is subjective but my view of education is that it’s an emergent property; as long as there’s different individuals that know different skills, natural networks will form of people teaching to anyone that wants to learn.
whether it’s institutions with professors teaching about quantum physics and brain surgery, to herds of dinosaurs teaching groups of young their migration paths and dangers to avoid; it’s all within my personal concept of what education is

how far into the future is this set? is it possible medical science gets advanced enough to surgically implant a robot skeleton that can repair itself and grow with the person? if these belters make a universal healthcare system, they could have free cybernetic surgeries for masses of belters able to withstand surface gravity of planets. should i just watch it, is the expanse a good show?

wait so if data is like dna, does that make computers like plants with their pollen being data packets like memes, articles, and videos… and we’re the pollinators?
