I do not agree with Trump but the NG (so far) have not done anything crazy where they have been deployed. Sitting around twiddling their thumbs is hardly harming anyone. Most of them do not want to be involved in this nonsense.

Most of the general public buries their head in the sand. They are convinced being politically involved is either a waste of time or makes you crazy.

Why are so many European countries doing this? Why the sudden push for chat control and internet restriction laws?

The whole system modeled on infinite growth is not sustainable. The population is aging and we’re running out of markets and increased competition abroad. We’ve hit the end of the road for the post WW2 era. The American model in almost every industry just milks and extorts the working class and they are running out. Between big pharma price gouging citizens, banks trying to deregulate, and big tech out of any innovation just making harmful advertising/surveillance capitalism. They are running out of ways to extort and keep maximizing profits without harming citizens. They are trying to seize more control and influence of the government because of this.

Amazes me how the UK Labour Party and Starmer managed to absolutely squander their one opportunity after gaining power for the first time in many years.
- Comment on House Republicans Investigate Wikipedia Over Alleged Bias 5 weeks ago:
Republicans call anything that does not align with their billionaire funded think tanks and knockoff media sources fake or lying. I mean they literally replaced AP with some knockoff bullshit media source for the White House. You think this is about variable sources?
