For those not in the knows, Luxotica has a near monopoly on the prescription glasses frame market and are a large part of why a couple grams of molded plastic and wire can set you back hundreds of dollars depending on the logo they glue to it.

When I was in grade school there was a girl in a wheelchair that would make the circuit of school assemblies warning of the evils of trampolines. Never touched one to this day.

Somewhat similar experience for me: I tried watching Twin Peaks in the late 00s, couldn’t get over the hammy melodrama of the first few episodes, abandoned it.
Fast forward to five years later, watch Fire Walk With Me, loved it. Revisited Twin Peaks and completely devoured it.
Sometimes coming back to something after you’ve grown/changed as a person can be nice.
Alternately, there’s a lot of stuff I thought was genius in my 20s that is absolute crap.

Maybe it’s because I’m a decade older now, but Vine seemed awesome and I would jump on it for 10-20 minutes a day and have no problem putting it down, even forgetting to check it a week at a time.
I haven’t touched tik tok because it seems like it is much more toxic and addictive in comparison.
