You weren’t supposed to see that.

It was so confusing. I didn’t know how to actually do the events, and it’s not like I could look it up, so I have many memories of starting the ski jump and superstitiously button-mashing in hopes that I land right.

I played the hell out of the Nagano Winter Olympics game!

It’s been a big misunderstanding in the history books all these years!

Well I guess you’ll be throwing that dart really far.

This happened to me too a few years ago, and I’m also quite a calm person, so it caught me by surprise.
It was 6 months or so after becoming a father, and my best guess is that the sleep deprivation was messing with my head. It stopped and I’ve been fine since.

I get them sometimes too. After googling it before, my best guess is precordial catch. Apparently good posture and staying hydrated can help prevent it.

Well, how about “for as long as I maintain the hardware”?

This video was what convinced me to start up a Jellyfin server last month. It’s fantastic. The peace of mind knowing that I have all my media stored locally, forever, is so satisfying.

Reminds me of that service for college students called "My Math Lab"
Surely it's been renamed or retired by now though.

That sounds like the way to do it. Last time, I read some posts where people were using premade maps online, and my first thought was that it would defeat the purpose. I want to feel like an explorer.

I should really give Zork an earnest try. Every few years I pick it up for like 10min, thinking "Wow, this is cool", and then drop it.

People have given you good resources, so I'll just speak to the second part: I switched a few months ago, and it has been surprisingly easy. I'm just... doing normal computer things like I used to on windows. Even gaming.

- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 4 weeks ago:
I will be so impressed if they manage that. It would be a day 1 buy for me at that price.
- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 4 weeks ago:
It's possible I'm just interpreting the quote wrong. I figured they were making the distinction between "console" and "entry level PC" as a way to say "The price isn't set yet, but don't expect this to be $400-500"
- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 4 weeks ago:
Since they've said it's basically an entry level gaming PC that will cost more than a console, I think the >700, <$1000 speculation is most likely.

I used to have a room dedicated to retro games and tech, but since having kids, it's all been crammed into closets. Once they're old enough to not break stuff, I plan to get the "museum" out again in some form so that they can enjoy it.
