Mine's still white, but I'd always heard there were different types of plastic used in consoles (and computer cases) back then, some of which would become discolored, and others wouldn't. Might be true, unless anyone in your house has been a smoker in the last 25 years.

I did this around 2012 or so when I was working through some of the harder NES titles on cartridge and didn't want to lose my progress at night if I was close. Ninja Gaiden, Contra, Castlevania, Mega Man.

Maybe a good detective out there could connect this with its primary training data source...

I'm loving it, and the runbacks and difficulty just feel like standard metroidvania to me. Yeah, it takes time and caution, but that's just the genre.

Raising them right.
The Sunshine music is burned into my brain from my eldest playing it daily for the past couple of months.

Yes! On the SNES switch online thing? My 3 y/o has been loving it too, especially after finding the rocketship eraser.

Turkish?
One of these things is not like the other... I tried to look this up and can't find it. My best guess is a typo for Turok?

I'm not familiar with Rhythm Heaven, but Mario 64 (and Sunshine) has been a big hit in our house too.

I was thinking about picking that controller up. My 3 y/o has been using a pro controller, and it seems too big.

I do have a fondness for old rock/metal from that era too and am pretty happy with it, so maybe that's a green light!

it is like studying the life and culture of the past.
I truly think stuff like this is important. Developing an appreciation and personal connection to cultural touchstones of the past is like a history lesson and familiarizes you with the life experiences of your parents/grandparents/etc.

They'll hit it with one of these, and then we'll be the out of touch ones for thinking it's unnecessary.

You're probably right. I bet I'm being US-centric to just assume everyone there values free speech/expression with the same cultural intensity.

What is happening in the UK in the last year or so? I keep seeing crazy headlines like this every so often.
The online safety act requiring ID, police showing up at old people's houses for their Facebook/twitter posts, or that one time someone suggested they would try to extradite Americans for the same thing. Where is this coming from all of a sudden?
