“We use technology or a review team to identify content that should be covered,” a notice obscuring the post reads. “This post doesn’t go against our Community Standards, but may contain images that some people might find upsetting.”
Yeah, I bet.

There are more empty homes than homeless in the US. I’ve seen literal tons of food and clothing go right to the dump to protect profit margins.
Do you have any sources to back up the claim that we need to make more shit?

Kubernetes is not a programming language. It’s a program written in a programming language called Go. Working with Kubernetes involves writing in a data serialisation language called YAML but YAML is not a programming language (IIRC) because it’s not Turing complete.

To each their own haha. The 2009 movie was the first ST movie I ever saw and I was not a fan.
FWIW, I mostly enjoy TOS, TNG and DS9. Not a star wars fan at all. To me the movie felt too much like star wars. It wasn’t dry enough and didn’t feel anything like a televised stage play lmao.

I haven’t seen every Star Trek movie but the ones I’ve seen have been pretty bad.
I’m here for the philosophy and the diplomacy, the movies always feel like they are made for a different audience.

When servers say “just eat at home if you don’t want to tip 20%”, do they realize this is the exact same energy as “just get a real job if you can’t afford your bills”?

Military contracts and genocide are two different things.
Like sure military contracting causes a net harm to society but we can’t fault people for drawing a line somewhere.

Ok buddy, downvote whatever you want and get as tilted as you want but it’s not going to change the fact that most Lemmy users don’t give a shit about playing corporate slop games from EA.
It seems like it upsets you that we’re all happy with the games we can run on Linux. Which is a weird thing to be upset about unless you deep down just resent the fact that we are cooler than you (I use arch btw).
You have very strong Reddit energy which is catching me off guard. Very strange to see someone defending microsoft/ea on the fediverse. Stranger yet to see someone basically rage commenting about it haha.

Welcome to Lemmy haha.
Sounds like you should just go back to Reddit and take you “downvotes to disagree” with you.

- Comment on YSK: Almost every single new logo you see is ai slop 5 days ago:
Generative AI making a mess when people apply no critical thinking to its outputs is really the motif of 2025.
Even if the person who made this wasn’t familiar with the Arch logo (questionable for anyone claiming to have made an OS) a simple reverse image search would have shown this logo was already taken.

AI seems to be the only thing propping up the American economy which is essentially one giant pump-and-dump scheme right now.
It’s not actually supposed to lead anywhere, just make a few people a ton of money on the road to enshitification.

Pretty sure that’s incorrect.

I miss that stuff that was like 18% THC and at least 0.5% CBD.
