- Comment on Are achievements still relevant in 2026—especially when mods disable them? 2 weeks ago:
If someone feels more accomplished because they have a little gold star next to what is otherwise the same experience, they need to make something else of it.
It’s gatekeeping, but if it influences how games are designed I’d rather they not.

I need to start taking benzodiazepines or blood pressure meds. Fake shit getting engagement online boils my blood. I can’t believe people are this stupid. A reasonable person would go “that never happened” and the post should die into obscurity. But instead this. And then there’s the degenerates willing to defend it “nothing ever happens”, as a retort which makes me angrier, because literally 99% of this stuff really never happens.

This is a fabricated post, no one actually said this.

I get the analogy, but these are literal moats of water surrounding an owners land we are talking about.

- Comment on Video game romances need to evolve beyond lore dumps 4 weeks ago:
Not just romance systems… Especially with younger crowd unless 100% of the content is accessible on a playthrough they will feel left out. Cosmetics, items, weapons whatever be it. Makes everything seem more shallow because of their fomo.
- Comment on This whistle fights fascists | How thousands of 3D-printed whistles are derailing ICE. 5 weeks ago:
Because 3D printer owners not only get to feel validated about owning a 3D printer, but also get to help the community during these harsh times.
There’s a lot of people saying here that it’s cheaper to 3D print. It is not. Even if the claim of 5 cents a 3D printed whistle is true, and I don’t really believe it, it’s not hard to find bulk plastic whistles with the price dropping as low as 2 cents per unit.

- Comment on AI boom could falter without wider adoption, Microsoft chief Satya Nadella warns 1 month ago:
I would also like to add that this is our fault as consumers for lapping up and becoming dependent on the smartphone and centralized Internet. (Though on the fediverse you are probably aware of that, but almost all of the content here originates from it).
- Comment on What challenge from a game isn't worth completing and what challenge from a game is worth completing? 1 month ago:
I’m glad Nintendo did that. Almost all completionist achievements are shit compared to actual substance in a game especially one as rich as BotW. Give the achievement hunter their dessert.
- Comment on What challenge from a game isn't worth completing and what challenge from a game is worth completing? 2 months ago:
I’ll only answer the first one.
Achievement systems full stop. People who value completion through achievement systems are fucking uncreative persons who need to find a different hobby or reconsider why they enjoy theirs. From a dev standpoint it’s just a way of lazily padding a game.
I’m not talking about completionists of actual game content like collecting all the stars in a Mario game, or catching the 151 pokemon, but moreso the “silver trophy” for killing 2000 grunts or whatever bs achievement ideas they decided to arbitrarily create. You’re diluting the art form.

- Comment on AI boom could falter without wider adoption, Microsoft chief Satya Nadella warns 2 months ago:
I really think they did it so easily with the adoption of the smartphone and the centralized Internet they genuinely are confused why their strategy isn’t working this time around.

A clear and intentional use of forced perspective. Don’t know why the caption has to make it seem like this is something that just “accidentally happened” while shooting a photo.
