- Comment on China: DeepSeek Paints Grim Picture of Its Home Country 1 week ago:
Haha, America is just as worrisome. Nearly 50% is so missinformed, uneducated and therefore feared, that they got where they are now…
So sad to see this, after such liberation of information due to the internet, itself was the demise of knowing the truth

And keepass is perfectly cloud ready by placing the kdbx file into your cloud storage and sync using webDav or similar.

Yess!
I store the keepass vault on my nextcloud
On iOS and macOS, I use Strongbox pro (one time purchase), as it integrates beautifully into the apple ecosystem using its APIs.
On linux and windows free KeepassXC with browser plug-ins
On Android I use the free keePassDX which, like strongbox, uses the android APIs for passwords - Comment on What Your Bluetooth Devices Reveal About You: Building Bluehood, a Bluetooth scanner that reveals what information we leak just by having Bluetooth enabled on our devices. 1 week ago:
Tldr: Bluetooth isn’t entirely the problem. The problem is manufacturers who don’t add privacy features like rotating identifiers into their Bluetooth enabled devices. Many smartphones are doing this these days.
E.g. modern non-cheap devices (iphone, pixel, general higher level android, airpods, apple watches, other modern headphones etc.) have those, and are not really track able like this.
- Comment on Video Games Need to Be Cheaper to Buy 1 week ago:
In Nintendo world, games are generally more expensive in the online store compared to physical cartridges, at least that was the case when I bought my games
- Comment on Matrix messaging gaining ground in government IT 2 weeks ago:
I have good experience with matrix-synapse 😄 together with the bridges for proprietary services, your matrix client could be the ultimate chat app
And some even support sync of group chats through puppeting (may not be TOS compliant on some services)

You sure?
They are targeting the next generation, the next generation will not know how to search the internet without an AI chatbot
We all know that most parents will just let the “Digital Natives” do their thing or/and that kids in a certain age definitely know better than their parents who fear this “technological leap” and don’t get it anyway

Great way to flee from regional reality (Doing work, being social, talk to people, ho for a walk with the dog, do housekeeping, etc.)
Everything gets delayed when I am on here, but still, Iam writing this 🙃 - Comment on TikTok's 'Addictive Design' Found to Be Illegal in Europe 2 weeks ago:

- Comment on 32-year-old programmer in China allegedly dies from overwork, added to work group chat even while in hospital 2 weeks ago:
Of course, hi-speed trains are way better than personal cars and airplanes 😄
I just wanted to point out that the “fastest trains in the world” trophy is not something achieved saintly, but because it had to be the “best”, a la make big numbers bigger.
The growth of value for the people is minimal, but the (energy) costs are immense.
With trains, punctuation is way more important than max speed 😇 - Comment on 32-year-old programmer in China allegedly dies from overwork, added to work group chat even while in hospital 2 weeks ago:

For the housing thing
- Comment on 32-year-old programmer in China allegedly dies from overwork, added to work group chat even while in hospital 3 weeks ago:
They have entire cities with empty houses if I remember correctly, and the ultra high speed rail is immensely inefficient as air resistance is raising in square proportionally to speed
I think building houses that will never be used as similar bad as to less housing…
- Comment on Apple to Soon Take Up to 30% Cut From All Patreon Creators in iOS App 4 weeks ago:

- Comment on YSK that a general strike is one of the most effective ways to push for change. There is a general strike in the works across the US for this Friday. 4 weeks ago:
Going homeless at the same time as many others opens the possibility to make communities helping each other out (food, protection, communication).
I know, it is wishful thinking, but building such communities in a peaceful way during a general strike with enough time is better than a sudden brutal civil war scenario, I think.
You won’t get food easy if you have to fear getting shot as soon as you leave your house and they can’t run companies efficiently only with AI and MAGA workers.
