You’re not alone. And there are people in less persecuted demographics who should, can, and are willing to go to bat for the trans community.
Please stay safe and keep exploring you.

Terfing ideas with fabricated misinformation. What worries me is I know it works on the media illiterate.
There’s is currently an attempt to destabilize the EU to segregate and popularize hate and allow fascist talking points “for your safety”
Protect your neighbors.

Valve lawyers must be on par with Disney or Nintendo because they always seem to pull through.

The last time I heard a lawyer tried this, the AI fabricated trials that never happened and people who never existed.

I always like talking about the myth of the genius. Intelligence is not a ‘talent’ but something that has to be fostered, and there are many forms of intelligence.
What we’re encountering more and more I feel is that there is a stark lack of any degree of teaching people emotional intelligence in our communities, leaving the responsibility on parents who often more than not don’t have the tools or have been actively conditioned not to teach emotions. (Eg. ‘boys will be boys’)
How many of these people we claim lack the ability to feel empathy have ever seen a therapist in good faith to learn why they feel certain ways and how to channel that productively?
We need more mental health programs and more accessibility to make more people aware of their affect on others.
And for those that have no interest in learning to regulate and understand themselves and their effects on their communities and families are childish and their opinions can be dismissed.
I want a kinder world that learns to help each other and why that’s important, evidenced by the people around them that help them every day.

My go-to trick is to get a water bottle that sprays an aerosolized mist and just spritz the area liberally.
Most insects(?) can’t fly with wet wings and become easy to handle.

- Comment on Is lemmy dying? 2 months ago:
It’s growing and is a good place to contribute to honest discussion, from what I can see; I’d like to take the opportunity to compare such comments as these to something akin to MMORPG discussions.
I don’t know if there’s a complete term for the idea but saying “X online community is dying” in MMORPG communities can fuel their own death spirals as others see it and also begin to believe the game has a shrinking community and therefore will be an empty lot not worthy of your time.
I would advise that if you like what you see here, contribute and help make the communities you like flourish than contribute to a perceived decline.
Bonus points if anyone thinks I’m clever. :S

The whole thing is done is bad faith to make a correlation that isn’t there. I just conducted a study that says people are always cats. My study doesn’t show any actual correlation but I think I once heard that a cat man exists so there is potential for study.
