There is a Soundtouch extension to Music Assistant, which which is part of Home Assistant. Last I checked the developer is unsure how functional the wireless speakers will be after the app shutdown.

He was already ineligible to run in 2024 according to the Constitution. The only thing that really matters in politics is power.
- Comment on Is there a point we can track down when we stopped caring about doctors, nurses, teacher, etc? And thought it was a great idea to pay atheletes millions and screw everyone else? 1 week ago:
Is pretty meaningless to look at top earners.
Some specialist doctors are making a million dollars a year, but the average is closer to $375,000.
Much like musicians, there are huge numbers of “professional” athletes that are not making a living wage. The low end for medical doctors is plenty to survive.
I think it’s distasteful when people complain about people earning six figures not getting as much as others, while we have people dying in the streets from capitalistic poverty.

Thanks.
Turns out Bose is ending support for their network speakers and shutting down the app in 55 days.

This might be what I’ve been needing for years.
My use case is playing music from a local Synology Nas on Bose st-10 networked speakers.

I remember as a teen needing to learn basic console commands just so I could mount a flashdrive in Red Hat. The amount of troubleshooting is a real barrier for most new Linux users, getting things to work is often a multiple step process one must put together from fragments of old forum posts.

I agree. No AI understands. Just like a calculator doesn’t understand “2+2=4”, it’s just pushing numbers around.
