- Comment on Car Wash Test on 53 leading AI models: "I want to wash my car. The car wash is 50 meters away. Should I walk or drive?" 2 weeks ago:
Normally I’d ask “why are we comparing AI to the human mind when they’re not the same thing at all,” but I feel like we’re presupposing they are similar already with this test so I am curious to the answer on this one.
I would guess it’s because a lot of AI users see their choice of AI as an all-knowing human-like thinking tool. In which case it’s not a weird test question, even when the assumption that it “thinks” is wronh
- Comment on Car Wash Test on 53 leading AI models: "I want to wash my car. The car wash is 50 meters away. Should I walk or drive?" 2 weeks ago:
Without reading the article, the title just says wash the car.
No it doesn’t? It says:
I want to wash my car. The car wash is 50 meters away. Should I walk or drive?
In which world is that an ambiguous question?

I saw that and hoped it is cause of the dead Internet theory. At least I hope so cause I’ll be losing the last bit of faith in humanity if it isn’t

Really depends on how hard it’s thrown

Oh you’re right, just looked it up. I guess if you’re trying to de-google then it’s not an option. But it’s navigation style is so much better than maps imo so in some way still a valid switch I suppose
- Comment on Uhhhh sure? 2 weeks ago:
I’ve found Google maps to be really shit at navigating for cars to be honest. I recommend Waze. My only gripe with waze is that they’re very car focused, so I still use maps when I go by bike, but at least that part of maps is pretty okay (at least for me)

Once in a while I come across shorts of this audiophile showing of his gear. The cables he uses look like under sea cables, like he’s pulling 40kV out of his wall socket. It’s so ridiculous

This is about a digital signal right? Cause I’m pretty sure if I add a banana midway into my bass’ pedalboard that I’d be getting a significantly different sound. I’m tempted to try and proof myself wrong tho lmao

I don’t know what’s more mind boggling to me, the OP or the fact that you can donate sick days. The fact that you can donate them means they’re finite, what the fuck do you mean you don’t know when you are going to be sick

I would’ve guessed that wireless would be the way to go since a fiber cable is quite literally a physical trace to your position. Are drones that easily identified by their wireless signal?

No it was the grindr post.
Tap for spoiler
For anyone who was to late to read it, it was a grindr conversation where OP was asked to shit in some guys mouth in exchange for money and KFC. OP accepted and made a followup post of the grindr conversation. No pictures or anything, just a screenshot of like ~3 messages max.

Yeah they did. The first iteration only used the original tuning pegs, which caused problems similar to your comment. In the end he went with a system resembling a more classic floating bridge, and he was able to tune it

- Comment on What do all the subgenres of music mean? How does anyone make sense of them? 1 month ago:
I can understand asking the difference between different metal sub genres cause metalheads do like to go a bit overboard with them. But the definition of punk and blues? Cmon man those are pretty well defined. You’re not gonna convince me that after listening to a guns and roses song, a dead kennedys song and a BB King song that you’d be unable to say which one is generic rock, which is punk and which is blues.

Exactly my thoughts. Tho I think that purely AI generated music would be somewhat easy to detect? As in, apart from original chord progressions with AI lyrics or vice versa
