Too bad Fox Hunt seems dead already.
- Comment on If you ask Yoshi-P, kids don't care about Final Fantasy anymore because they're taking too long to come out 55 minutes ago:
Games take too long to release. They’re buggy. They’re a letdown. And the games themselves are too big, too long, too broad.
- Comment on I am an American. I used to be proud of my country. Now it feels like a turd circling the drain. Is there anything going on behind the scene that America is actually doing good in? 2 days ago:
Being proud of countries or nationalities is 8nherently toxic and problematic. I never understood it.
Land of the free, fought against oppression, and force children to pledge allegiance.
Backwards ass shithole.

Even 15 years ago it was already predicted to run into the red by around 2030. I’m impressed it’s still true and not gotten worse.

All of which has long been known in econometrics and modeling. Just throwing everything at any model doesn’t make it better, but often worse. There’s an art to modeling. A creativity in interpretation and selection required.

Try looking into anhedonia and talk to a therapist.
Sometimes just taking small steps and forcing yourself a little bit every day, something starts to take hold.

- Comment on Why do you need a launcher? (asking older gamers actually) 1 month ago:
I like the ease of use and services Steam provides. The cloud saves, the custom Notes are very useful for me, the library organization, some steam workshop stuff, the community hubs for games are fun shared content, the guides, the discussions, the reviews. All of it makes a nice experience. In general it’s also cheaper than console. Then they made Steam Deck which is possibly my fav console ever.
- Comment on Most of the misery in the world is the direct result of too much money in too few unscrupulous hands. This is not only the cause of the vast majority of human suffering, but also of climate change, wh 1 month ago:
Yes. We’re well aware.
- Comment on Picked up a copy of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for XB360 1 month ago:
The PS2 version was I think a totally different game. I liked the 2nd one a lot. Also played the PSP one which wasn’t too bad for the console.
- Comment on Is it normal for mothers to constantly talk to their children about their experience (particulary the part about their pain and suffering) of their pregnancy and giving birth? 1 month ago:
Coming from a similar background, just know, you deserve your own security, including mentally. You did nothing wrong. You are enough. And most importantly, the good times don’t mean the bad abusive times are okay. Abuse can be physical, verbal, emotional, mental, and lots of blame, shame, and neglect can be abuse.
Don’t let it turn into a bad habit where you constantly feel the need to cling to someone. The abuse and neglect and confusion can make relationships difficult, and may cause you to overthink them later in life and worry about things that harm your future relationships.
Try to center yourself and meditate on how you feel, allow your thoughts time they need to process, and try to truly feel how your body feels.
Wish you the best. Hang in there.

Also, Elijah didn’t need to die and could be saved? Yet Jesus needed to die? Right.
- Comment on If you save someone's life and then you save her life again next year, how many lives did you save? 2 months ago:
I would ask The Fray. They seemed to know a lot about How To Save A Life.

I’ll never understand these approaches to learning. They require remembering the phrase, and then require remembering how the phrase translates to the rules you need to remember.
I’ll just remember the rules in the first place. Less effort.
- Comment on So now that it's that time of year again in the US, what are some tips and tricks for dealing with that one relative who goes on about the same bullshit for hours and won't shut the fuck up? 3 months ago:
Don’t.
Just removing obligations, and even going no contact does wonders.

Abuse of quick time events. Some overrated games are horrible about it. I think it should never be used.
- Comment on Me when Valve releases a phone 4 months ago:
I think it’d be Steam Sight, or Steam Sight Glass.
It fits the theme and is essentially a window to peer into steam pipes to assess how things are going. An easy view inside the system.
Also called View Port, Sight Window, and I think Sight Flow?

- Comment on When Xfinity has an outage, I don’t pay for those days. The government’s been shut down for 39 days so can I pay 39 days less in taxes? 4 months ago:
Bottom half of wage earners pay zero effective federal income taxes. The top 10% cover like 90% of it.
All I’m saying is “muh tax dollars” is the wrong argument for the vast majority of us.
