- Comment on Skyblivion's release has been delayed to 2026, but you can check out an interactive version of its map 2 weeks ago:
I’ve been waiting for these games for about 15 years, both SkyBlivion and SkyWind. Sadly I’m probably not at the age anymore that I would realistically have time to sit down and play these open ended games again. I’m really bummed about that after waiting all this time, but each year that goes by I’m less and less excited about these games getting released, I just don’t have the desire to play them anymore.

That was my polite way of ending the conversation, I disagreed with the person, but I got tired of arguing about the metaphore and burgers, etc with someone who was clearly not gonna let this go.
- Comment on 2 weeks ago:
I don’t really use them, so I don’t have much of an opinion, but I agree with your assessment.

I guess I should put more mindfulness into how I’m consuming restaurant food then, lol either way I think we can put this hypothetical to bed.
- Comment on 2 weeks ago:
I’m commenting on literally being watched though, so let’s say you get up to go to the bathroom after your first bite the chef marks that as ‘didn’t like his burger’ because you took a bite (watched 1 episode) and didn’t continue to binge eat the burger (binge the whole season by the end of the month), BAM because you had a life event you couldn’t control, you now hate the burger and hate the show.
This is not a fun way to consume anything.
- Comment on 2 weeks ago:
The thing I hated about Netflix was the stress of knowing i was being watched with my viewing habits and that affected how they decided to cancel or continue shows.
Imagine being a customer at a restaurant and the chef is in the back watching you eat, saying things like:
“well, if he doesn’t eat the whole thing in less than 10 minutes that means he probably hated it and won’t continue to buy more burgers, so we should just remove it from the menu now and never server that burger again.”
Who the fuck wants to ‘relax’ and watch stuff when i know if I start watching something and stop after episode 1 because I liked it, realize my partner might also like it, and I wait 3 months to watch it together, knowing that might contribute to Netflix canceling a show that I fucking liked in the first place!
SO RELAXING GUYS!

The maintainer set the whole repo to private. There’s some more to it, but the maintainer didn’t choose to share any info with the public, and it makes it seem highly suspicious what their intention and motivations are/were with the codebase.
- Comment on While we eagerly await the second coming of Steam Machines, it's worth remembering what a gloriously awful mess Valve got itself in over a decade ago 5 weeks ago:
I bought from ebay for $150 in 2016 that someone I think tried to pass off the yellow ring of death to me, as the system failed shortly after I bought it, BUT, it was still under original manufacturer warranty. I sent it in to dell with no proof of purchase requested from me, they sent my system back fixed, and accidentally gave me another steam controller in the box back, haha.
After getting it back, I wiped windows and have been running Ubuntu on it since then. Still using it as a HTPC right now, though it is getting long in the tooth for web video like YouTube, etc. Probably gonna be replacing it soon with something else.
- Comment on Valve Announces New Steam Machine, Steam Controller & Steam Frame 5 weeks ago:
Yup. You’ve made it clear you hate them.
- Comment on Valve Announces New Steam Machine, Steam Controller & Steam Frame 5 weeks ago:
Not who you asked, but I use them for PC games that were built for keyboard and mouse. The track pads on the steamdeck are excellent for emulating a mouse. Baldur’s Gate 2, Dungeon Siege, Neverwinter Nights, Morrowind, etc.
- Comment on Valve Announces New Steam Machine, Steam Controller & Steam Frame 5 weeks ago:
Yeah, I feel like the steam controller was a little hard to get used to, the touchpads always felt a little off, but the steamdeck’s touchpads (and presumably the steam controller 2’s touchpads) are absolutely perfect.

Before going all in on Proton, just make sure you’re okay with the ceo’s statements on politics. To some people its enough to not switch over, to others its unfortunate but the product is too good not to switch.

People don’t try cleaning their charging port before buying a new device? Thats crazy. I really have a hard time believing people don’t try cleaning before buying a new device.

I’m sorry I’ll confused by what you’re hinting at with this reply, you’re going to have to explain further.

You ever watch scifi stuff and its kinda far fetched? Its because they’re envioning a future that hasn’t happened yet. Its not an ‘edge case’ you just haven’t been affected by it yet.
- Comment on Rivian Tore Apart A Xiaomi EV And Discovered What America Can’t Match | Carscoops 1 month ago:
But for some reason you’d like to take it further. How odd.

Get back to us when your health insurance company kicks you off your plan because your car has been reporting that you’ve been going to the bar 4 nights a week.
Or when your wife starts getting ads when connected to your home network for strippers and strip clubs because you parked the car near a strip club 1 time.
Or when your car starts suspiciously routing you through weird routes on maps, that take you close to the local fast food joints because Taco Bell/KFC paid them advertising money.
“But none of that happens right now!”
That’s not the point. The point is, it could.

- Comment on ‘I love Hitler’: Leaked messages expose Young Republicans’ racist chat 2 months ago:
Stole this description from the other post about this.
Thousands of private messages reveal young GOP leaders joking about gas chambers, slavery and rape.
Leaders of Young Republican groups throughout the country worried what would happen if their Telegram chat ever got leaked, but they kept typing anyway.
They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.
William Hendrix, the Kansas Young Republicans’ vice chair, used the words “n–ga” and “n–guh,” variations of a racial slur, more than a dozen times in the chat. Bobby Walker, the vice chair of the New York State Young Republicans at the time, referred to rape as “epic.” Peter Giunta, who at the time was chair of the same organization, wrote in a message sent in June that “everyone that votes no is going to the gas chamber.”

- Comment on 18% of people running Nextcloud don't know what database they are using 3 months ago:
True, I guess not. But piracy was big at that age group because we were kids who didn’t have our own money, so if our parents didn’t buy the games we wanted, people would try to download them instead. So I fell into learning this detail by nessesssity instead of out of pure curiosity or desire to learn more about the computer. I wanted to doenload NWN or whatever game, and fat32 was standing in my way, haha
- Comment on 18% of people running Nextcloud don't know what database they are using 3 months ago:
Haha at some point it did matter to regular folks though. I remember in Junior high when I would try to pirate games or software on Windows, I learned the big difference between fat32 and the new filesystem Microsoft released, NTFS because I couldn’t download files larger than 4GB on fat32.
