- Comment on Would I sound taller if I gave my height as 6'-4"? 16 hours ago:
Regarding your edit: Own your funniness. Look how many people made jokes of their own because of yours. If you had just said “oh it’s a stupid idea” and disregarded it, none of this would have happened.
- Comment on Would I sound taller if I gave my height as 6'-4"? 1 day ago:
If you’re doing that, you would sound even taller if you say your height is 10 foot. Maybe you should try that.
But if you’re going there already, why not say you’re 10 yards high? Might as well go big or go to your over-10-yard-high home.

Depends on how they meant it.
- Comment on Is it true that the natural lifespan of humans is only 38 years old and we only live past that because of loads of modern medicines/technology? 6 days ago:
Most people in the world do not have adequate healthcare, many never seeing a doctor in their lives. Plenty of those live to much older than 38.
I’d say it’s very simple to see that whatever you found there is either misrepresenting majorly or complete bollocks.

- Comment on Can someone give me some primers/resources on understanding politics in the Netherlands? 2 weeks ago:
Neither did the person you replied to do that, nor is what you say actually against democracy. Forcing others to vote a certain way is against democracy, but telling someone why they should vote for something is just advertisement.
- Comment on Disney sells us imaginary heroes while supporting real world villains. 2 weeks ago:
As always, companies aren’t people, they are comprised of people. Not all of these people are diabolically evil. And even then, likely the people making the diabolically evil decisions have some streak in them that’s not diabolically evil.
For example, you can’t honestly say that none of the Disney movies had any positive effect on people. Same with stuff that Nintendo does.
Sure, overall the verdict is “diabolically evil”. But there are positives within the overwhelmingly negative.

he needs to find someone he can grow with and build a proper future with
Or maybe you can let him decide what he wants? Don’t lead him on, but if he decides something, why would you try to tell him his decision is wrong?

How do you add a text overlay that follows an object on the screen?
- Comment on Why is the human body so incredibly bad at responding to colds? 2 weeks ago:
Dude, you are in a million years battle with other organisms trying to exploit and kill you, and you’re fucking winning. I would call that a blazing success. The other organisms are trying their literal best, their survival depends on it, and you just KEEP. ON. WINNING.

This doesn’t really make sense. What you say is only identifying if you already have this information about someone. If you already do have all this info about someone, what else do you need?
- Comment on YSK Lemvotes.org will show you votes on any post, comment, or by user, or anything on the fediverse 3 weeks ago:
If you’re really worried about that, there’s no reason why you need to have your private details associated to your account. You can even have a “clean” main account for show and a “real” secondary account.
Your votes being public is only a “problem” if your account can be associated with you.
- Comment on YSK Lemvotes.org will show you votes on any post, comment, or by user, or anything on the fediverse 3 weeks ago:
Except the ability to register an account without any personal details. Which makes it completely private if you want.
- Comment on Do you meditate? 3 weeks ago:
Don’t know what it’s called, I just let my thoughts go and focus on the sensations of my senses. I do this all the time except when I specifically need to think, which isn’t super often.
- Comment on How long do we have before PCs get locked bootloaders and corporations ban installation of "non-approved" software? (for context: Google is restricting sideloading worldwide on Android ETA 2027) 4 weeks ago:
Yeah, mine too, it’s not the fastest and most cutting-edge one, though, maybe that’s what they mean.
- Comment on How long do we have before PCs get locked bootloaders and corporations ban installation of "non-approved" software? (for context: Google is restricting sideloading worldwide on Android ETA 2027) 5 weeks ago:
Not really realistic at all. There’s a market for unlocked devices, and where there’s money, there’ll be a way.

- Comment on I'm on the spectrum. How do I live the rest of my life? 5 weeks ago:
Two things.
For most people, asking “why do you talk so little?” is not a slap in the face, it is an attempt at inclusion. It gets interpreted as a slap in the face. As such, your example is not right.
Secondly, when we expect people to take our autistic sensibilities into account, I think it is entirely fair to take their sensibilities into account as well. Most people do not rub autistic people the wrong way on purpose. We do not rub them the wrong way on purpose. Yet it makes sense for both parties to take the other parties sensibilities into account. Since one can only control oneself, one should start this behavior with oneself.
- Comment on [deleted] 5 weeks ago:
People in general don’t work by any guiding principles, they work by emotions. Emotions don’t care about consistency.
Acting in a consistent way has to be learned in a rational way, and it involves suppressing your emotional reaction. People are only lile this if they explicitly learn/practice this, the default human without learning that does not work like that.
So, the fact that your dad is good to you and bad to other people is very simply explained: he loves you, acting lovingly, and hates others, acting hatefully.
- Comment on I'm on the spectrum. How do I live the rest of my life? 5 weeks ago:
You’re doing what they do to you back to them. This is not hard to understand. You don’t like it, so they don’t like it. You’re essentially “proving your point” by taking revenge. The only thing they hear is that you’re taking revenge.
If it was about boundaries, you could say something along the lines “I don’t like these kind of questions, I am perfectly comfortable being quiet, with this question you make it sound like something is wrong about it. I get this question all the time and I don’t want to answer it anymore.”
- Comment on I'm on the spectrum. How do I live the rest of my life? 5 weeks ago:
I’m not talking about in real life. I’m talking about your comments right here that are that way. You also edited your comment here, at first you were saying something about the person you’re replying to being boring.
- Comment on I'm on the spectrum. How do I live the rest of my life? 5 weeks ago:
Your coworkers do it to you and if frustrates you, but you’re doing it to them which frustrates them.
They openly admit to doing the bad behavior back to them.
why I don’t talk more, why they feel offended if I answer asking why they talk so much
There is no need to go for confrontation, asking why someone talks so little might just be a way of trying to include them in a group or getting to know them, and it sounds like OP just responds as hostile as possible. They could just say “I’m comfortable talking little” or whatever.
- Comment on I'm on the spectrum. How do I live the rest of my life? 5 weeks ago:
I’m an autistic introvert and upvoted them. You really don’t see how you immediately go for personal attacks and derogatory behavior? You don’t need to tell people they’re being boring. You can just leave and not interact and thus not hurt their feelings.
