My salads often contain corn or nuts. There’s simply no way the shoveling abilities of a fork is harder than having to pick up small pieces with chopsticks.

Just to be a little more detailed than other answers:
Like they said, they get eaten a lot, but they also reproduce a lot more. Think about something like dust in a room. Dust has no chance against your cleaning, when you wipe off a surface, the dust is gone. Same if something decides to eat the slug, the slug is eaten.
But when you clean a room, do you always clean absolutely everywhere? Did you clean the dust from the top of the lamps? The dust from below the carpet? While you were off cleaning one side of the room, didn’t some new dust already settle on the surfaces you just cleaned? And so on.
So yes, you’re absolutely correct in everything you say. But defending yourself is not necessary when there’s just so much of your species that they can’t all get eaten at the same time.

My assumption is that they’d just be swept off with the wind and nothing else happening to them. But it depends if they hit the side of the car/the window frame once they go out, if they do, I assume it would end like the ones on my windshield, i.e. splat, if not, they just get accelerated to wind speed and once they are accelerated, it’s just like flying through 0 mph wind, even if relatively, they’re going 75 mph.

I know it’s hard, I also have lots of experience getting over fears. I was myself extremely socially afraid and afraid of all kinds of things in a less severe manner.
I have an Singaporean girlfriend right now who is similar, who I’m helping through it as well.
Believe me, I know the struggle. It’s so unbelievably hard to do things you’re afraid of and the main problem is that it all happens inside your head. All the effort you’re putting in is basically invisible to an outsider. They might push you because they don’t see how much you’re already doing, which just makes it worse because you start feeling like you should be doing more, and then on top of feeling afraid you also feel like shit because you do “so little”, which is not little at all.
You can do it, I believe in you :D if you want any more words, I’m here, I don’t wanna ramble on and on lol

This clearly shows that you are willing to talk out of your ass. The early Internet was filled with some of the smartest people alive, the mass of shitty content did not arrive yet because it wasn’t accessible to the masses. At the beginning, the Internet was literally only scientists. A little later, it was only very open people not scared to try something new and excited about the future and about foreign cultures, with corresponding amazing content.
Only after this initial period, when the internet became commonly used, did it turn shit. Stop trying to manifacture arguments for your position and truly do what you acted like setting out to do, understand other people’s concerns.

You probably simply never noticed. Maybe the grocery chain you buy at. Maybe a particularly flashy packaging of a food item in said grocery store. Maybe an outrageous fun sex toy you saw in porn. Maybe you’re subscribed to a Patreon somewhere. Maybe you have a t-shirt of your favorite show. Do you really make all these decisions completely conscious of all advertising you saw before, making sure that you do not miss any better alternatives with worse advertising?
No person can think so much about all their decisions to spend money. No one can be so perfectly conscious of every single sensory input. Advertising works on everyone, you just don’t even notice when it works on you.

To the second part, thank you for explaining your terminology, for me “death to [country]” meant “to the whole country, including the people”. I would have used “dismantle the government of [country]” instead.

I do understand what you mean, however the attempted genocide that christians, jews and muslims are doing to each other is much older than any of that. You do not truly know anymore who started, the only thing I personally know is that the same way that a genocide against Palestinians needs to be stopped, so does a call for genocide against Israelis. Of course, due to other countries (including Germany) support of Israel, Palestine needs special protection and the immediate ceasing of all support to Israel.
What you do not see is that we don’t truly disagree, I’m just trying to explain one of the multi-faceted thought patterns that go on in some people’s brains. Multiple different concepts can co-exist at the same time, and do not necessarily contradict each other, like saying that the genocide in gaza needs to be stopped immediately and the genocide in Gaza and in the Holocaust not being the literal same.
