I think the joke is about its ingredients. Lemmy went through a bean phase, and it seems to be in a corn phase right now. Not sure if theres more layers to this as im not overly active

in MY county
Howd you manage that? Any company worth a shit had a clause that all cases be held where they decide, typically where theyre head quartered
- Comment on How do you sleep at night? Please respond with a number 2 weeks ago:
My blankets are always stolen in the middle of the night by someone who needs to be swaddled and rolled like a burrito. I used to have “emergency blanket” under the bed for after the blankets were stolen, but that didnt always make it back, or itd get taken too.
Also the (2) 70 lb dogs sneak into bed and dont wake me up until i can no longer move the blanket. And waking the 13 year old dog up to move him is only going to disturb my partner, so its not worth it.
So like i tell me kids, control what you can control. I now sleep in sweats, and sometimes even with a robe on because thats basically a blanket that cant be stolen

Interest could net you around 45k a year. While thats not inconsequential, thats also not allowing for any growth, so itd be 45k every year, only. Based on historical data, thatd be about the same buying power as $15k in 40 years.

No golden gun? Our mode of choice was pistols with license to kill. Golden gun was basically the worst option for you
- Comment on Do you cheat in video games? 3 weeks ago:
I like how Hades did god mode, or at least how i remember it. When you turn it on, it didnt hardly do anything, but every time you died, you got -2% damage reduction, cumulative. So god mode was still tiered to your skill level, in a sense because the more you failed, the more help itd provide

I used to have this problem with my ps controllers. I used to replace sticks, until i realized caps were easier. One time, used metal sticks and that was fine too

My job offers time off. Its 1 bucket of time off. If you want more time off, you have to work more OT to “offset” it

Sigh… i cant believe im about to write this.
Conspiracy Swifties believe the song Wood, being about Travis’ dick, is song #9 on the album because he’s 9 inches. Additionally, the song is 2:30, and 23 cm is 9 inches.
- Comment on I wonder what game they're trying to play 2 months ago:
I forget which game, but it had two different durations of summon/cast. The first time was always the long one, then youd regularly get the short one, youd randomly “crit” and get the long one, which did more damage.
- Comment on Has this ever happened to you? 2 months ago:
You dont even have to ask. Friend can just sit at the bar, or they can bring a second person and just be at a different table. If this is a trauma response, there are ways to make in nonintrusive. Plus, if the other person doesnt know you brought back up, theyre going to be more themselves, and youll see if theyre a sleeze or not sooner. Its not hard to pretend to not be a sleeze while youre being watched then turn it around immediately when youre not.

Kelly johnson designed the SR71 Blackbird because he was given the alien tech from rosswell new mexico to reverse engineer! No other way could the government trust 1 man with a blank check book and complete authority and have the plane designed and flying in such a short amount of time!

This is something i noticed early on with the generational divide and misinformation on the internet. Older generations never had the internet in school, and this were never taught how to identify a truthful source. Those of us that grew up with the internet were drilled into our heads, “not everything on the internet is true.” From both our teachers and the generation who believes everything on the internet.
It was a big sticking point with my in-laws during covid. Theyd send me a link, and 5 minutes later id respond with, “that person never went to any college has no credentials to be commenting on the scientific and biological effects of vaccines. Here’s a published dr saying youre wrong.” Only to be met with, “you’re an idiot. Go get autism if you want.”

True, but not everyone there is vying for an academic job. Especially like something in thermodynamics. I work in the aerospace industry and every engineer has at least a masters in a science/engineering field, a lot have PhD.

There are certain thresholds at my company where this happens too. One of the lines is 100k, and many of the managers are smart enough to push you right to 99,900 so you dont cross the line, that way when you do cross, your raise does increase your take home
- Comment on Makes sense 4 months ago:
This was my thought as well. You obviously aren’t using a bank, and you probably dont trust enough people to keep that on your ship. Not to mention if your ship goes down and you survive, it sure would be nice to get your treasure back. Hence the maps with “tricks.” Theyre only supposed to be Hints for the person know already knows where it is

Girl tried to friend zone me. I wasnt having it. I had already fallen hard. I told her that i didnt think i could be friends because my feelings for her would be in the way. If she ever wanted to pursue, give me a call and ill be right there.
That was 14 years ago. We’ve been married almost 10 years now
- Comment on Admit it. WE all do this 4 months ago:
Just gotta celebrate it. We need people to do jobs in every aspect of society. Even those “lesser” jobs need to be done. Even if the follow up is, “oh what’s that like? Do you like it?” It can get the person talking and lead to other topics
My kids are starting a new school in the fall, so ive been asking this question a lot. Ive learned so much about people and their interest by just starting there
