- Comment on I prompt injected my CONTRIBUTING.md – 50% of PRs are bots 2 days ago:
I’d like to see a project set up a dedicated branch for bot PRs with a fully automated review/test/build pipeline. Let the project diverge and see where the slop branch ends up compared to the main, human-driven branch after a year or two.

TIL there are mods for Dink Smallwood. Colour me intrigued!

I thought I remembered loot crates being rewarded randomly between matches. Did Valve start selling them and I missed it? Or what’s the real issue here?

Offline mode is nice, but for a game with core online features they really ought to release a dedicated server.

I don’t think Robert Frost said that.

This. It’s not a problem, it’s a niche.

I generally like content that highlights small indie releases, I’m just a little put off by the way it’s presented here. It feels contradictory to the community description in the sidebar.

This breaks my heart. The Marathon trilogy had such a cool setting and atmosphere. What the hell is this.

Sure, but exploring the way games abstract reality can be interesting and worthwhile.
- Comment on Ubisoft initiates colossal restructure to become a more 'gamer-centric' company 1 month ago:
Classic publicly traded company using “reorganisation” (read: layoffs) to trick shareholders into thinking they are turning things around by simultaneously reducing costs and shifting blame for past failures of leadership.
The next step is a super safe release, like a remaster of one of their top selling games, followed by an announcement of a new entry in one of their most popular series. Line goes up. Ubisoft is back! Hire more developers, open a new studio, resume enshittifying. Rinse and repeat.
I have played these games before.webp

Maybe we could turn it around: adblockers are tools that block ads and other kinds of dark traffic such as trackers and malicious scripts.

Apparently it’s a feature that can be disabled in settings - I just had it turned off, I guess. Thanks for highlighting it, I would probably never have found out about it otherwise :)

Weird, I have no such option. Are you on 2.38.0? I installed through F-droid which currently only has up to 2.37.2, so maybe it’s a new feature - though I don’t see it listed in the change log.
