What a wild story. Scams have always existed. And they will get worse with AI no doubt.
My heart goes out to his family that has to deal with the grief of losing a loved one now. May he rest in peace.

Thank you. I will have to look.
I haven't used Codeberg before so I was kind of just assuming.
I think I will make my way over to Codeberg.

I would like to but I do want some private repos.
Maybe self hosting is the best move from here on in.

Sounds like the bubble could burst soon. It'll be an epic collapse if it happens.

- Comment on Junk Store 2.0 has released 2 weeks ago:
Thank you for sharing. I gave it an upvote because I do care about posts and it was informative.
I disagree with the product though and wouldn't get it because I don't want another subscription. I guess people are down voting because they disagree with the Junk Store 2.0 itself.
Anyhow. Please continue to post. It's important for growing these communities and try not to let the downvotes discourage you.

Why does it even matter?
They probably will do better with it at this point. I'm surprised they didn't defend it.

- Comment on Mastodon is improving profiles and getting ready for quote posts 5 weeks ago:
Oh, my understanding is that originally they didn't want quote posts because it could lead to a culture of people dunking on each other and a lot of negativity.
So I believe there was a lot of resistance early on against that feature. That's just what I've seen people saying whenever this feature was requested over the past few years. I could be wrong though.
- Comment on Mastodon is improving profiles and getting ready for quote posts 5 weeks ago:
Wow, took them so long to get quote posts. A welcome addition imo (I know there's a lot of controversy around implementing it, but for me, I think I prefer it).

Yeah, OnlyOffice is a lot closer to the MS experience which would make it easier for people to transition.
I use both and usually prefer OnlyOffice.

One thing I noticed is that when you add this feed, it will automatically add all the communities on the listed feed.
This is probably fine for most people, but something to note if you aren't that interested in something that is on the feed.
