Once you go on TV it’s a public affair, believing anything else is incredibly naive.
- Comment on Twinkle twinkle little star 1 week ago:
He was on TV representing NASA in a graphic and lewd shirt. What are you talking about, are you saying that should be acceptable attire? It’s not puritan to hold him to a higher standard because he works for NASA.
- Comment on Twinkle twinkle little star 1 week ago:
What did he get? I was watching the event live at the time and I’m familiar with the immediate aftermath where he apologized and it was largely accpeted. Did he get fired or something?
- Comment on Twinkle twinkle little star 1 week ago:
Bro did you see the shirt?

I’m not sure it’s worth engaging with the kind of person who uses SJW as a pejorative.
- Comment on Give your mouse the finger with this wild cursor control ring — Prolo Ring hits Kickstarter, hoping to transform your finger into the ultimate macro and gesture device 4 weeks ago:
The battery “exploding” is a secondary concern. If the battery swells in a laptop I am not in any immediate danger. If it swells on a ring it can lead to it being trapped on my finger and potentially causing loss of the digit. I also wouldn’t want to risk a ring catching fire in the process of trying to remove it after it swells.

Do not strap lithium batteries to your finger, are you mad?

Why did you modify their title? The article’s main chart shows that it’s literally “mostly” written by AI, 52% to 48%.

You can disable the video stream too.

I’m not sure if it’s the potato quality, the lighting or the controller is just that dirty. Keeping your (no longer in production) controller relatively clean can help with its longevity!

EA seem almost malicious the way they're going against the tide of developers supporting Steam Deck / Proton. Online shooters is one thing, but this is a fucking skateboarding game.

- Comment on UK Withdraws Apple iCloud Backdoor Demand Following US Diplomatic Push 2 months ago:
The first option is unlikely, Apple said no but the UK were probably already speaking to their Five Eyes pals in the US. I don't think they ever expected Apple to relent and it was all just a gambit in the larger picture.
The second option, by far the most likely in my opinion.
The third option, the US doesn't need Apple to cooperate so this also seems unlikely.
Remember, any individual or group of people can be subject to secret gag orders around US intelligence capabilities. Tim Cook can say whatever he says, but you can't believe a word of it as a result.
- Comment on UK Withdraws Apple iCloud Backdoor Demand Following US Diplomatic Push 2 months ago:
Why would the UK do that? My money's on a new deal to get access through US intelligence agencies instead of directly through Apple.
- Comment on Xbox Series X and S: Microsoft Has Reportedly Sold Less Than 30 Million Consoles This Generation 3 months ago:
With the "everything is an Xbox mantra, there's no reason to have a capable PC and an Xbox anymore. I don't mind waiting for PS games on my PC either, leaving only Nintendo still having some appeal.

Hashtags used to be placed inline due to character limits. That's much less of an issue now, and many people place useful tags below their post to make their content easier to read while also remaining more discoverable.
