Yes that Bain Capital.
Childcare in Australia is subsidised by the government, so the childcare centres raise fees and every few years the government raises the subsidy so parents can afford it. Once it’s affordable the centres raise fees again, it’s a vicious cycle.
I read the meeting minutes from when they bought us out and it was all about how they struck gold with free government money. They didn’t give a shit about the children, just how much tax payer money they could take out of our country.

Daycare is a multibillion dollar industry. The previous company I worked at here in Australia was owned by big an American private investment firm (Bain Capital).
My centres company owned about 70 centres under them, and their owners had many other childcare corporations they owned across the globe.

Using the same domain and swapping software is glitchy. We swapped from Lemmy to PieFed about a year ago and some things never worked right. Old comms wouldn’t update due to different IDs on other instances etc. it’s mostly resolved, took some time for some instances to clear their old history of us and what not. c/sighfi never recovered and had to be remade as c/sigh_fi.
The new account might have solved them by simply being a new account with no known data on other instances. Did the other one have the same username as your PF instance had?

Where I'm at so far with a theme. Gotta finish up the top bar with community subscriptions and tidy up the user part on the left before moving onto the feed.

As in old.reddit or the old “new” reddit they apparently changed a week ago.
I’ve been messing around with customising themes all week on https://quokka.au, and I would be happy to give it a shot.

It's now live on https://quokk.au as well!
This is a great feature to hand, as I was reliant on newcommunities and communitypromo to find new comms.

That’s the same excuse people who hit their kids use. You could have turned out even better, with better care and education.
As for tracking nappy changes, it can help with assessing any health issues and tracking long term trends, it’s useful for toileting as we can see how frequently and volume of accidents to help understand their needs for prompting, it’s useful for parents to know if for example they’re going out straight away and need to change before hand, and it’s useful for child protection (our records show that this educator changed the nappy at the time of the incident etc).
