It’s extra fun when they are delusional enough to accidentally tell on themselves.
For example, if someone tells me unprompted that their nasty family members are falsely accusing them of something and cut off contact over it, I immediately believe whatever “false” accusations they claim to have against them.
I use this example because I literally had this conversation with a total stranger and he truly had no idea how bad he was making himself look.

The first time his name showed up in my news feed I genuinely thought it was a character name of some movie or video game villain. Imagine my surprise when I found out that’s the actor’s actual name.

That’s the exact game I had trouble with as well and I believe it even had an aim assist mechanism. I managed to get by on story mode but the shooting parts were just frustrating. (Still totally worth it though)

I’ve never been able to aim and shoot (and hit anything) with a controller, glad to see I’m not the only one.
Controllers are best for platformers imo. I actually hook up a controller to my PC for most platform games.

There’s a zoo near me that started out as a rescue park for abandoned parrots. One enclosure had all the potty-mouthed parrots in it and they hung up a sign saying
“If the parrots shout insults, they’re (usually) not directed at you personally”
That always made me laugh.
Also don’t buy parrots as pets. They’re notoriously difficult to keep and most people get in way over their heads while the parrots live a miserable and depressed (and very long!) life.

Oh, I didn’t know that, what are they most closely related to then?
- Comment on Be ungovernable 5 weeks ago:
Agreed on the parrots but a lot of corvids I’ve encountered were absolute trolls as well. Very intentional and calculating, they clearly had fun antagonizing other animals. Don’t get me wrong, they’re assholes. But they’re funny assholes.
Maybe European corvids aren’t like Australian ones. I’ve heard stories about your magpies.
- Comment on Windows users keep losing files to OneDrive, and many don't know why 1 month ago:
I have a personal vendetta against OneDrive because it literally holds your files hostage. It uploads your data without your consent and then threatens to cut off access to your own files unless you pay up. It actively fights you when you try to regain control, up to and including reinstalling itself once you finally manage to uninstall it.
It’s the main reason I finally got serious about switching to Linux (which I have and it has been amazing)
I’m still mad though, fuck Microsoft. Evil assholes.
- Comment on I felt so betrayed when I found out Germany isn't called Germany in Germany 1 month ago:
Deutschland, sounds like what we should call Netherlands
Until you then find out that the Netherlands is actually called “Nederland” in the Netherlands. And the reason they’d called “Dutch” in America is due to an archaic mix-up between the two nationalities.

- Comment on Do you ever feel like your life is "scripted"? Like everything is written by some entity controlling your life? Like you live in a fictional universe? Is this feeling normal/common? 2 months ago:
Autopilot. That’s what I started calling it for lack of a better term. It’s like my consciousness moves to the back of my skull and I’m watching myself interact with the world as if following a script.
For me it’s derealization/depersonalisation (I always confuse the two) caused by complex trauma. Any social interaction can trigger it so I tend to avoid people now.

- Comment on Microsoft bows to user demand and makes Windows 11's AI Actions optional 2 months ago:
Their OneDrive fuckery was the final straw for me to seriously consider switching to Linux.
They installed that shit without my consent, moved all my data onto it without my consent, despite me making a serious effort to undo all of that and keep my files local. THEN they had the gall to start warning me that I was running out of cloud storage and wouldn’t be able to access my files if I didn’t cough up the money for a subscription.
I finally managed to uninstall OneDrive and move my data to my local drive on my computer. The next update they reinstalled OneDrive and started spamming me with warnings again!
That’s not a feature, that’s not even a bug. That’s a goddamn racket.
I’m now finally using Linux, for the first time in my not-so-short life.

I’d feel pissed off more than anything. I don’t know your situation obviously but my mother would be aggressively pushy like this and the best solution for me was to stop telling her shit about my life.
Things greatly improved when I did that.
