I just read that the Dubai’s International Airport has been hit by an Iranian drone. He might be there for a while. I just hope he doesn’t get killed. As much as I hate the asshole and wish he uncute stuff, I don’t really want him to be killed by an iranian drone, dragging Italy to a war that it doesn’t need.

Great idea! Let’s all go fucking around with bluetooth always active and make ourselves a target for anyone with some knowledge!
We should start walking with our phones in a faraday bag/cage and some sort of emp generator to fry these glassholes’ gadgets.
- Comment on YSK Your smoke detectors should be replaced every 7-10 years 4 days ago:
They are mandatory in Ireland, so please stop the “Europe” stuff.
I haven’t said they are not mandatory in Europe. I have said that I am European and haven’t seen them in the countries I lived in.
Tell me, are Spain and Italy countries that for some reason disqualify you from being European or did you just have a rough morning?
- Comment on YSK Your smoke detectors should be replaced every 7-10 years 5 days ago:
I’m genuinely curious: why do you need smoke detectors? I’m asking as an european that has lived without them all their life in more than one country. They are not mandatory here and not even common. What’s the reason to install ther? (I know the reason is to detect smoke, I’m asking the underlying reason behind the need to detect smoke)

I’ve worked for a touristic business where I live and I had to talk to many usians a day.
I learned there are two types of usians: 1. Those who come to the country to enjoy it; and they are usually cool people with whom you can have a great time. 2. Those who come to the country to be served. And they are extremely insufferable assholes to whom I only wish an intestinal bug that lets them stuck in the bathroom for the whole holiday.
Other than that, it was almost impossible to tell therr political compass.

There is an issue in autistic individuals with textures. And it’s an issue you can’t really understand if you don’t suffer it. Yeah, I dress by texture rather than fashion. And those tags are hellish to me and many other autistic people in ways that only them understand.
It’s kinda concerning and pretty annoying when some people start with the “this is a normal reaction, not an autistic thing”.

If you somehow manage to put that shit on me, you better kill me afterwards. Because if I take it off, you’re going to deal with an overloaded

Meanwhile, I can go to a certain website, get the gba rom and even a romhack adding tons of QOL features and new stuff.
Then, thanks to emulators, I can play it on any device, have cloud saves if I want, online multiplayer for free, in any language I like and for only $0.00

Interesting… when grok was undressing children publicly, nobody started an emergency procedure to immediately blocb the bot without notifying Felon.
Now, tho, when there’s a fucking soccer game involved? Let’s block internet access, we wouldn’t want someone to watch a game for free!
Fuck them, fuck them badly. Hope a deadly cancer reaches them all.

I was sent to another country overseas for (initially) one month (they made it two in the end, deciding for it a day before I was coming back). They noticed me about it one week before the depart.
While I was abroad, working my ass 14 hours a day, 6-7 days a week, I was contacted by a headhunter. I explained them the situation and they understood it. They planned an interview for the first day after my (supposed) return.
When my employer decided to keep me there for another month, I had to contact the headhunter, explain it and they rescheduled without issues.
I came back and, as pissed as I was, went to the interview and nailed it. Few days (and interviews later), I had a new job. By then, my current job knew nothing (yet), I was about to give my notice when something happened:
Right before lunch, my then manager, calls everyone and starts a speech saying there’s “some people” who are lately lacking will and enthusiasm because, and I quote, “they clock in at exactly 8 am and clock out at 5pm without caring if there’s other people still working”. That was directed at me because I was pissed and started to simply follow my shift to the second. He continued rambling about how there’s people who don’t deserve to work there and other indirect attacks that clearly had my name on them.
I was going to give my two weeks notice that day, personally, to my boss, but the “meeting” got me so pissed that I decided to be pety about it:
Here, you can, instead, notify the ministry of employment online about your two weeks notice and they send an official notice to the employer in your instead.
The boss found about it the same day they called me to offer me a raise. It goes without saying but he wasn’t happy about the notice. He sent me home and told me to never come back. I took my stuff, went home and enjoyed my free days until I started on my current job.

Even that is gonna become a problem to find in a few months. I’m fucked because my computer is due for an upgrade (built futureproof, which allowed me to go for almost 10 years without upgrades) but now it’s showing signs of aging. I’m probably getting a steam machine in the first batch even if it costs a thousand because I am certain that thousand will turn into two or even three in the next year (if it’s even possible to find)

The issue are not refs, the issue is the lack of video recordings. They couldn’t prove it because there was no official video evidence.
However, the federation announced that starting the next day, two officers would be watching each shoot (toss? Whatever is called each launch) to see that this doesn’t happen again.

So unexpected! Who could have thought that making such an unique game would end like this?
I mean, this is a shooter where people choose a hero with an unique loadout and set of skills and battle with therr team against another team of these heroes.
We could call it… idk… Hero Shooter! I’m sure I haven’t seen a game like this before!

I think it’s worse: it’s laziness. It’s easier to ask a machine so it does the job for you. And since it looks mostly ok, they keep doing it.

There are people who can’t properly function without an llm. And it’s not just a few, a good bunch of humans have decided to leave the reasoning skills to a chatbot so they don’t have to do it.

Entitled tourists are like that. Not all are like that, but British in Spain are the worst offenders because they tend to act like this. They think Spain is their personal beach so locals are just a bother for them because they… you know… live there.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 weeks ago:
Not critizicing you or anything, just pointing out that this is a common sight from entitled tourists, especially British, because the ones behaving like that think of Spain as their personal beach.
We hate them for a reason; going to another country thinking the people there should live to serve you as if you were at home and not them is a powerful driver to make people hate you.

yeah this is not happening on my end. I am less than willing to register a video selfie to prove my age, let alone send my ID to who knows who just to access a bunch of shit. Especially after the last data breach that, apparently, shouldn’t have happened since they say they delete everything as soon as verification is completed.
Time to explore element and the other discord alternatives; I wasn’t using it that much anyway.
