Or like someone in Hacker News comm suggested, use this to track a US Senator for 24 hours, make it all public, then see if they’re still OK with this…

Coolio thanks. I am a happy Mullvad VPN user so I will check this out next. It’s good to see it uses the Gecko engine, not chromium under the hood.

The answer is definitely Mastodon. We just need to make it work for you, OP.
I wonder if this helps?

I don’t really understand what I am seeing here, so I have to ask – are these Security issues a concern?
https://github.com/TecharoHQ/anubis/security
I have a server running a few tiny web sites, so I am considering this, but I’m always concerned about the possibility that adding more things to it could make it less secure, versus more. Thanks for any thoughts.

- Comment on How many instances have you been orphaned from? 4 weeks ago:
Two: lemm.ee and a PixelFed instance whose name I am blanking on rn.
It’s OK, I learned how to migrate and moved to PieFed, so win-win. 👍

if you’re satisfied with your existing comments function, can you simply enable comments on your ‘contact’ page and hide them from public view?
I was also struggling with DNS issues all day so this is what I am putting in place for now. Yah, good enough is good enough. Thanks for the idea.

I’m no expert, but the issue here seems to be replacing many smaller contracts with one big one for Palantir. I. E., one agenda headed in one dark direction.
But what do I know?
- Comment on What is a good self-hosted solution for sharing files with friends? 1 month ago:
You can consider using a Pikapods service for this. It’s dead simple to strand up a server when you need one.
https://www.pikapods.com/apps#storage
They have Gokapi and/or PrivateBin for just about a buck per month. You can turn the service on and off whenever you like. Good company to work with, IME, too.
