These idiots take their single w2 to the H&R table at Walmart and give them a third of their return. It doesn’t affect them.
(I’m making up the third, I have no idea what they charge)

I actually started on imgur before I used reddit at all. I used to browse “i am bored” as a kid/teen. Eventually I thought, man I really only want the funny images, is there something that’s just that? That’s when I found imgur and I was hooked. “Sarah please” and all that.

When I first got to Lemmy i always thought a fediverse imgur would be neat. As the other comment said, imgur has been going down this path for a while, so i ended up leaving quite a while ago and never pursued the idea. Plus I’m not really knowledgeable enough to do it myself.
- Comment on Amazon (or any online retailer) needs a "Treat 'yo self" button that one-click orders something from your wish list / saved items. 1 week ago:
I didn’t renew my prime subscription this year, for a few reasons, but that means if I want to avoid shipping fees I need to buy $35 (USD) worth of stuff. I’ve been using that to pick up small things that have been sitting in my wishlist that I haven’t been motivated to buy separately.
For example I bought a steam deck a little while ago and wanted a screen protector, since it’s a lot of screen on that bitch, so i grabbed some cute little ramen fridge magnets that I’ve had on there for ages to get me over $35.
Sure I’m spending more than I would have to avoid a fee, but i didn’t spend $150 yet (prime for the year) and I’m getting more things for it.

My friend. The technology to identify you by your walk exist. The technology to identify you by how you use your mouse and type exists. The technology to identify what sites you visit by the pattern of the incoming and outgoing packets and their sizes exists.
They’re not using the calico.

Yeah i loved Take me to the dungeon, I kept coming back just to play the game. I fear my tags aren’t getting any better in steam because I’m probably going to check out flipwitch.

I’m not sure I would put blood leading to steam considering my “Because you love” section says Sexual Content Mature NSFW Nudity
And I’ve only purchased 3 porn games out of the hundreds of games in my library.
(I bought them specifically because they’re fun games even if you remove the porn. But also I don’t mind the porn)

I kind of want to pick one up, but i can’t get a clear picture on if I should wait for a steam deck 2. From what I could find, they want to wait until there’s enough of an upgrade to be worth it. At one point that suggested around 2025, but more recent stuff makes it seem like they’re not even working on one, and other stuff hints that they are.

Not at all, but it’s a porn instance. I’m not the admin but my guess is that you probably risk losing new users if they’re not interested in porn and their All feed is full of porn. I filter top/day when I browse all and in there it almost never comes up, but if I browse hot (heh) it’s in there relatively quickly for me.

It’s telling how incompetent they’ve become when their LLM AI is the absolute worst one, including mechahitler before that update.

From another thing I read, people have a tendency to not apply enough sunscreen or apply it correctly. I’m sure if everyone did it perfectly it wouldn’t matter. All I know is anecdotally, when I switched to 100 I stopped getting sunburns, and I have been in situations with people who used their own lower spf, got a little burned still, and I came out of it pale white.
The price might be higher, but a quick look on Amazon and I’m seeing more than spf affecting that. The brand I buy is about 1.80 (usd) per ounce, and i see other brands with less spf for more. I see other brands with the same spf for less, and it seems like it’s between ~1.10 per ounce to ~2.80 per ounce so I’m not really bothered by my price. I don’t know anything about the environmental differences between spf so I won’t comment on that.
