- Comment on CEO Asks ChatGPT How to Void $250 Million Contract, Ignores His Lawyers, Loses Terribly in Court 2 days ago:
I liked subnautica quite a lot anyway, but I would buy the second one either way just to contribute to them paying the 250.
- Comment on Lutris now being built with Claude AI, developer decides to hide it after backlash 6 days ago:
In my opinion, he should’ve left it as a co author. I think if you as a user have an ethical issue with Claude, that’s your choice and you can make the decision not to use lutris. I mostly agree with what he says until that part about removing Claude so “good luck finding it”.
It’s not about finding a difference for people (usually), it’s about how that model was trained on the work of others, without consent, for free, to then sell. He made his points about how much it helps, that it’s better than using Meta, Google, OpenAI, or Copilot and I think that’s probably true. But he made that case, so why then hide what Claude has done?
In gaming, Valve requires you to list if you have used AI in the creation of your game and you describe in what way. It’s not because the game will 100% of the time be absolute slop (right now it usually is), it’s so that the potential customer can be informed and choose to or not to support the use of AI in those products.
As far as I’m reading, most people who reviewed the actual code think it’s fine. So, again, I don’t see the point in hiding it other than being somewhat petty.
- Comment on Claude Code deletes developers' production setup, including its database and snapshots — 2.5 years of records were nuked in an instant 1 week ago:
This keeps happening. I can understand using AI to help code, I don’t understand Claude having so much access to a system.
- Comment on I wonder what would people describe the feeling of wanting to piss, without directing saying it. 1 week ago:
Pressure? Whether it’s inside the bladder, or elsewhere on the way out, I feel like it’s always some kind of pressure.
- Comment on Highguard will permanently shut down on March 12th. 2 weeks ago:
Seriously, I didn’t even realize it was the name of the game. I thought maybe a dev studio was shutting down.

- Comment on Motorola confirms GrapheneOS support for a future phone, bringing over features 2 weeks ago:
I also had the Moto X and loved it. The wood back was neat. After then I kept getting bigger phones, from LG and Samsung, but nowadays I kind of miss smaller phones. I was also sold on the better cameras of these other brands. Depending what they release I might make my way back to Motorola. I’m pretty ingrained in Samsung at the moment.

I read something about how maybe you don’t want to force yourself to eat too much when dealing with cancer, but that was in Peter Attia’s book outlive, and even though there were sources (that I didn’t look at), he’s probably a pedophile and now I don’t know if it’s good information.
- Comment on I wonder when someone is gonna make a parody porn called "The Gooners" based on the 1980s movie "The Goonies"? 2 weeks ago:
That never stopped any other porn, Pokémon for example.
- Comment on Earbugld question: Does anyone actually like to silicone tipped earbuds over the solid plastic ones? 3 weeks ago:
Agreed. Though I find for someone like myself with… extra ear wax production foam tips get annoying to clean.
In any case, comply is a decent brand, dekoni I find to be better and more comfortable, except they have trouble staying ON the ear bud, so they end up in my ear. I’ve heard the same from a reviewer who I found out about dekoni from.
- Comment on Shit, I'd pay $9 4 weeks ago:
For a little while I was using a Xiaomi 14 pro, and one of the AI features it had was that for phone calls you could have an AI answer the phone and basically ask this question. The problem for me is that this feature was only in Chinese.
All these companies are adding stupid shit like photo generation into their phones… give me the English version of that!

The world is in peril. And not just from AI, or bioweapons, but from a whole series of interconnected crises unfolding in this very moment,
I feel that. If I had the means I’d probably fuckoff to some forest cabin at this point.

- Comment on CEO of Palantir Says AI Means You’ll Have to Work With Your Hands Like a Peasant 1 month ago:
I’ve had a conversation with one of my friends a few times. Even if she was filthy rich she would still work. People always claim various things like getting bored or needing something to do or wanting purpose.
I would find plenty to do without working and her take on it blows my mind. In fact every argument I’ve heard from people in general, my response (at least in my head) is that I could still accomplish that thing without employment.
I can keep myself entertained doing the things I enjoy, I can find purpose helping people with my boatloads of cash, I would have time to learn all kinds of new skills. I could start businesses to handle some niche ethically, if the main players are scummy. The possibilities are damn near endless and if I’m ever rich, I’m not going to continue spending my time making some other prick richer.

At a store like harbor freight you can get safety goggles, like safety glasses but goggles. They probably fit both issues.

- Comment on What should be emoji reaction for "me too" in the general sense 1 month ago:
I could see a few options based on context (I’ll skip things i saw already mentioned).
For example, your nod about the Czech president? 🙂↕️ do the nod. There’s also a no nod 🙂↔️. As a reaction it may be too small to notice what you mean though. You booked the same time for thing? 🫡, ✅️, you could also establish this with them and then use something like 🟢 for it.
🤝, 👥️, maybe 2️⃣ if you establish that as well. Basically I think you’d need to say at some point, “me too, *emoji” to set a baseline.
- Comment on Is it normal that you feel very shaky as soon as you start to get hungry? 1 month ago:
I get that from time to time, but usually I’m hungry for a while first, unless I was distracted and it all hits at once. Then I’m ravenous, shaky, hot (and probably sweaty), and it’s all I’m thinking about.
- Comment on Im stupid but have money 1 month ago:
I appreciate that.
Number goes up is my security blanket
That’s fair, and it’s now put you in the position to be able to branch out. As long as you keep it reasonable, there’s no harm in spending some. Do the smart stuff, emergency funds and all that, then you should be all set to try some things out. Might even have enough to do some safe investing (but probably talk to an expert first).
I’m too far the other way, single no kids and renting, but no savings either. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- Comment on Im stupid but have money 1 month ago:
If all goes to hell in the way you’re describing, that number in your bank account will do nothing for you. You could, as another comment suggested, get into prepping as your hobby but just based on this post I’m thinking if shit truly “went down” I imagine you don’t really want to stick around for it.
For that reason I think you should get something you can afford, and keep some money around for exploring new hobbies. That will remove the irritation of renting but you’ll be responsible for everything which could be a new set of irritations. You have, as you say, no desire to do anything. I don’t know how you pass time now but to me, that means you should try new things and see if they stick.
Go for a couple hikes, take some pictures while you’re there (especially if it’s in nature, like a forest). Try playing some video games, read some interesting books, cook a few more intricate meals. Start learning another language. Try something creative like writing, you don’t have to share it after or try to make money from it, just doing it to do it. It doesn’t really matter, just if you think of an activity you haven’t tried recently, give it a shot and if you like it keep going.
Not every day all the time, but maybe a day or two a week you attempt something. Even if that doesn’t necessarily help, at least it keeps things interesting. All I’m getting at is “Number goes up” hasn’t worked so far, so try something else. And so what if all goes to hell, when it does would you rather be right and have done nothing because it didn’t matter or would you rather have enjoyed a few things in the meantime?
- Comment on Meta has discontinued its metaverse for work, too 1 month ago:
One more piece of bad news for VR
VR is doing fine. It’s a niche hobby for people like myself to feel like you’re inside of a game, movie, or porn. If you’re someone who does work on your own device, you can even work in VR.
The metaverse was a ridiculous idea, that is beaten by VRChat.

ICE is not harassing my area, or even my state that I know of, so there’s a possibility I turn out to be a coward but no.
I’m not required to show documentation even to the actual cops in my state (just to identify myself, which i can do verbally), ICE has no legal power over me and I’m not going to pretend they do. If they shoot me, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it’s not the worst cause to die for.
(I’m also white, just for context)
